WOYWW 158

Morning lovely Crafters and dear WOYWW friends.

How lovely it is to be back amongst you after an enforced absence which was much longer than I'd hoped. I had to have a Hernia operation on 15th May which I thought would only keep me away from my computer for a day or so but for almost a forntnight all I could was sit in a chair with a book. Thankfully we had Summer during that time and the sunshine was a wonderful healer. I am now back to normal and raring to catch up with with you all. I know I've missed lots of lovely creations. I also need to catch up with some crafting, I only picked up some stash for the first time last week.

I was so disappointed to have missed the WOYWW  ATC swap but must say a huge thank you for some lovely ATC's I received through the post, they were such a surprise and I now have some ready to go out in return. A very belated Happy 3rd WOYWW Birthday to everyone.

So, here is my desk today.

I had some DT work to do for Sheena last week which I'll share with you tomorrow but now I am just enjoying doing some crafting "just for me".  Such a rarity nowadays. My lovely Hubby made me the piece I am working on out of wood the day after I came out of hospital but I have only just got round to playing with it. As always I started without a plan and am just seeing where I end up.

Here is the front so far, but the inside is still a work in progress.

Right, I'm off to get a fresh cuppa in readiness for a mammoth desk hopping session. If you have read all this and wondered what on earth I'm talking about then you need to pop over to see our Desk Headmistress, Julia, HERE.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I thought you might all have forgotten me!!!

Glad the Op went well, don't forget to take it easy until you feel fully recovered. Love the wooden shrine and I spy some IndigoBLu stamps - love them as well.
You live in a beautiful place, how lucky. We used to spend long weekends up in Buckden for years and I loved the drive up the valley. Thanks for visiting and I would send you some sunshine but it has done a bunk.

How could we forget you???? You have been sorely missed - hooray that you're back on form again.
People still seem to have ATCs to swap, so I'd go for it if you feel like it. I just swapped anything I felt was in the spirit of WOYWW as I don't make ATCs!!
We've got sun today...hooray..after what seems like weeks of rain. At least they've lifted the hosepipe ban now!

Hi Lisa,

I'm glad you are recovering nicely from the surgery. Sometimes healing takes longer than anticipated - glad you didn't push yourself!

If you want to swap ATCs with me send me an email at 505whimsygirl@gmail.com. I'm in the states.

Happy WOYWW

So pleased to have you back Lisa...hopefully feeling alot better. Thanks so much for popping by mine. Caleb goes into hospital on Monday so hopefully it will give us a better idea of what is ahead after his appointment.
It really has been great to have some lovely weather hasn't it. It puts us all in a far more positive frame of mind, I think!
Take care Claire x

Glad to see you back with us Lisa, it’s so frustrating when you want to do things but can’t, isn’t it.

Still, it looks like your back with a vengeance now!
I love the little creations you are working on, especially the colours and I know what you mean about working on something ‘for you’. I’ve been feeling that way about the heritage album but just don’t seem to find the time for it. Actually, I have loads of time really, I just need to manage it better.

Happy Crafting!

Sorry to hear about the op Lisa but glad you are now on the mend and that you got to sit in the bit of sunshine we had. We've had two terrible days here and it is currently raining heavily and blowing hard not to mention being very much on the cool side.

I love the colours on your wooden triptych. How lovely of your OH to make it for you and you are using my favourite type of images. I had to smile because I too hardly ever have a plan and on the rare occasion I do it never works out, lol!
