WOYWW 441

Morning dear WOYWW friends. These Wednesdays come round alarmingly quickly don't they?

I have two desks on the go this week.

Here's my usual one

You all put me to shame with your Christmas activities so I actually managed to start my cards last week. This is a first for me, I usual end up doing them at the last minute but am trying to be organised this year and a bit ahead of the game if I can. I'm keeping them simple, but am not sharing them yet as they are still a WIP.

Here's my other desk, the dining table.

More Christmas activity. I'm making some mini scrapbooks for Christmas presents. It's a long tome since I've done this kind of thing and am really enjoying the process. I have so many paper pads that it's nice to actually be using some of them.

There's also 2 boxes of new nail varnish that the Avon man has just delivered!!

I was having a mooch around u-tube the other day and came across some brilliant tutorials from Stamperia and thought I'd have a go at one of them.

This is the result.

The tutorial used an image printed onto rice paper and then painted in, which I didn't have so I hand drew my figure. The texture paste was very forgiving so I think I got away with it. I love all the texture and also the colours which are very different for me. I added some lace onto her dress and lots of glitter and stamped and cut out all the butterflies. They were stencilled on the original but I didn't have one.

Well that's me this week, If you want to share your desk with us then pop over to see Julia at WOYWW headquarters.

Enjoy your Wednesday whatever you are up to and Happy Crafting!

WOYWW 439

Morning gentle WOYWW crafters. I hope I find you well today on the 1st day of November. This time last year we were in the middle of my Mum's house move, I can't believe a year has whizzed past!!

Anyway, here's my desk as of last night.

I've been asked to make a suitcase gift box for a friend to give a travel voucher in. This is the 2nd attempt but I'm quite pleased with it. I just want to add some travel bits and pieces and tickets to the front and somewhere for her to write a greeting on and then I'm done. I hope she likes it.

I can also share a birthday card I made a week or so ago as it's been safely received now. All Sheena Douglass stamps and some distress inks splodged about.

It was half term last week and we managed to get out and about, including a day in Ambleside in The Lake District. The sun kept threatening to come out and it managed to stay dry and made for some lovely photos. It's still one of my favourite places in the country.

I also had a few days in the garden, which is still looking really colourful thanks to the mild autumn up to now.

Well, that's me today. If you want to share your workspace with us, then pop over to WOYWW headquarters and join in.

Have a lovely Wednesday whatever you are up too and Happy Crafting!
