WOYWW 420

Morning lovely WOYWW friends from a lovely sunny Yorkshire. Hasn't it been hot!!!!!

Here's my desk this morning

A bit of a dumping ground. Nothing further has happened on the journal page which is now buried beneath a pile of stuff. I bought some lovely sheets of gems on a little trip to Hobbycraft and found a lovely wooden whirlygig organiser for my desk from a new shop nearby. I also discovered foamiran last week after watching a lady demo it on the telebox, which is what's in the plastic bag.

This makes lovely flowers very easily by heating it and scrunching it. I'm still learning but this was my first attempt. I can see this becoming a bit of an obsession as it's only 60p for a A4 sheet and that'll make loads of flowers. As you can see I ended up buying lots of colours to play with.

I also received another beautiful ATC from Morti, thanks so much, I love it.

Well, short and sweet from me today. Exams have finished.....hurray. We are now lurching towards prom night. I wish we'd had such things in my day. Pretty dresses and fancy hair do's.

I'll leave you with a photo of the garden I took very early on Monday morning.

If you want to share your desk with us then pop over to WOYWW and link up with the lovely Julia.

Enjoy your Wednesday whatever you are up to and Happy Crafting!!

WOYWW 419

Morning lovely WOYWW friends from a sunny Yorkshire. I hope I find you well today.

Here's my desk this morning.

I haven't had a lot of time this week so have been playing in my room in little chunks so a bit of journalling seemed like a good idea. I have no plan and am just adding bits each time I go in so who knows how it will end up. I also find some pots of sprays and glitter paint I didn't know I had so those are out there to be tried out.

We were fed up being cooped up by the rain last Saturday afternoon so had a lovely visit to a local National Trust property, East Riddlesden Hall, which is only 20 minutes away.

It was so peaceful and a real delight. You wouldn't believe it's in the middle of a housing estate near Keighley would you?

Here's that round window from inside.

The day was finished off with a cream tea....perfect.

Well, that's me today. If you want to share your desk with us, then pop over to see Julia and join in with WOYWW

Enjoy your Wednesday and Happy Crafting!

WOYWW 418

Morning lovely WOYWW friends from a sunny Yorkshire today, thank goodness after all the wind and rain of the last two days. I thought Autumn had arrived early!!

It was such a wet day yesterday and there had been a bit of stress in the craft garden after a particularly horrible English Language GSCE first thing that we did a bit of chilling in the afternoon and got the painting stuff out and followed an online class from the very talented Alison C Board so that is my desk today.

We used watercolour and Brushos and had a lovely few hours. I also got the stamps out much to DD's consternation, being a very particular painter, but she relented eventually and started stamping on hers too.

I love painting but am no expert so don't normally share what I do, but I will today if you promise not to look too carefully, there are some very dodgy bits, but it's the process not the result that counts and I do believe that, even though I'm my own worse critic.

I also want to thank everyone who swapped ATC's with me, LLJ, Margaret, Angela, Annie, Jo, Shaz, Neet, Sandra and BJ they have been a real joy to receive and each one is so different and I love them. Apologies to LLJ, I forgot to get yours down off my board to add into the photo, and also to BJ, yours is in the post I promise.

Well, that's me today. If you want to share your desk with us then pop over to WOYWW headquarters to see the lovely Julia.

Have a great Wednesday whatever you are up to and Happy Crafting!.
