I'm Back!!!!!!

This morning the schools went back here and the weather turned decidedly Autumnal, how strange is that.

Anyway, I'm back after a lovely rest and raring to go with all sorts of things and I have an awful lot of catching up to do with all my lovely blogging friends, I had a quick peek last night and can't wait to see everything you've all be up too.

We came back last Wednesday from a brilliant holiday in the absolutely beautiful Lake Garda in Northern Italy. If you've been you'll know what I mean, if you haven't then try and go, it's a magical place with views at every corner. You'll be spoilt for photo opportunities.

This was our third visit. We don't normally revisit places as there are so many new things to see in the World but it just sort of draws you back and there are still new things to discover. We were also incredibly lucky with the weather. It's a mountainous area and so you cannot always be guaranteed sunshine but after weeks of rain we hit upon a fortnight when they were having a heatwave and the temperatures were in the mid 40's. Too hot really but a good excuse to lie on my sunbed and spend hours in the pool with DD.

Here are just a few photos to give you a flavour.

Looking down on all the higgledy piggledy buildings.

Lots of picturesque harbours.

How about these for lemons!!

The lake is alive with wind and kite surfers in the morning winds.

Someones beautifully decorated house name plate. Looks like Sheena may have been here with her paints!!

Thank you for all the lovely comments you left me while I was away . I can't wait to get back into my craft room and then do some blog hopping so thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting.

Hi there Lisa welcome home again... and wow what lovely pickies there to share with us - do love the the boats in the harbour - so different from our harbour here and we have the windsurfers too, among to watch but so much strength required they tire me out watching them! My lemons on my tree at the moment are deeper colour than these.. to our eyes they are very anaemic looking - maybe the photo?
However we dont have the gorgeous skyline with all the lovely building there - that takes history! now you will be unleashed in that craft room! Blessings, Shaz in oz.x

Great to have you back Lisa but even better that you've had such a lovely time. Thanks for sharing those gorgeous photos. My OH has never wanted to go to Italy but I'm going to show him your pics tonight and see if I can tempt him. I couldn't stand the 40 heat though!

Look forward to seeing you back in creative mode.

Hugs

Oooo, I just love the Italian lakes.
The scenery is out of this world, so I can fully understand why you made the exception to make a return visit.
I’ve stayed in Sirmione on Lake Garda many times and I also love Baveno on Lake Maggiore.
You’re not far from Milan there either so some fab shopping to be had!

Good to see you back Lisa!

Nice to see you back Lisa and I can see why you like Lake Garda. I have a friend who went there for her Honeymoon and she said it is stunning. Maybe one day!!
My little lemon tree is trying it's best in the British weather to give us lemons but they are not that big but do taste lovely!

Hi Lisa, nice to see you back, you've been missed, and great to hear you had such a wonderful holiday. I've passed Lake Garda on my way south once so just caught a glimpse - it looks spectacular. Great photos - and I so remember those lemons. We brought back our very own door tile on one of our trips - it's decorated with lemons too. I've been to Italy twice and I certainly would go back to somewhere I love - for me that would be Sienna. Now, you've got me wishing and dreaming again :) Elizabeth x

We know Lake Garda very well Lisa and have spent many happy holidays there and Lake Maggiore, a beautiful part of Italy.

So sorry I don't get round too often, but the eyes are behaving today so thought I would have a little hop about and to say thanks for your visits.
