I hope you are all enjoying the first signs of Summer. After a slow start it's been beautiful here this afternoon. Doesn't the sunshine make you feel so much brighter.
May and June are such busy months for birthdays here so I have been fitting in cards in between more fun crafting for the last few weeks and I thought I'd enter this one into the Allsorts challenge which this week is Birthdays in honour of their first Blogaversary.
I've made this one for a friend of my MIL who is celebrating her 70th Birthday next week and has a passion for Orchids. I found the image on the internet and printed it out several times so that I could decoupage it before adding glossy accents.
I've kept the colour scheme quite simple with just a hint of a Martha Stewart punch. The sentiment is from Dawn Bibby.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope your week is going well so far.

Wow! the effect you've achieved is amazing. Beautiful card. Penny
Lisa it's stunning! Such a pretty image and so expertly decoupaged!
Morning Lisa
Really elegant, orchids are one of those flowers that always have a special feel to them. And the decoupaging and glossiy accents really bring them to life.
It is so nice to see things coming to life in the gardens, the montana is just coming into flower, a few weeks late like most things. But strangly the lupins are growing like triffids and seem early by comparison.
Have a good weekend.

What a lovely clean and simple card Lisa. You were right not to over embellish this and to let the decoupaged image speak for itself.
By the way I know you were only teasing the other day. So was I!!!
