A New Year.. A New Start

Evening lovely Crafters. I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and because I've not blogged for an absolute age I need to wish you all a very belated Happy New Year. I hope 2014 is a good one for you.

My New Years Resolution is to get back into my blogging. It became increasingly difficult to fit work, DT stuff and family things in with keeping a regular blog and last year I really let it slip, so, New Year and a new start. I may not blog every day but I will be more regular and I intend to get back to visiting all my old blogging friends and keeping up with you all. I've missed you!

So to kick things off I thought I'd share the card I've prepped to demo at my Craft Club this week.

I've had the Prima Doll stamps since they first appeared and haven't played with them nearly enough. Paper piecing is great fun. I feel like a little girl choosing what to dress her in but went with spring colours in this dismal weather. (For my regular visitors, yes, I have used this Basic Grey paper before on her but I love it.)  I hope my ladies have as much fun with her as I've had this afternoon. The sentiment is from Inkylicious and the flowers are a spellbinders die. Lots of different techniques to keep them busy!!

Well, that's me today so thanks for stopping by and see you very soon.

Happy Crafting.

What a beautiful card, Lisa! Hope your club goes well, and I am sure the ladies will really enjoy making this beauty. I haven't made a new years resolution, but my aim is to use more stash and blog once a week, but not let it take over my life, lol!

Hi Lisa and Happy New Year to you too! You're not the only bad blogger around these parts as I seemed to get worse as 2013 wore on. I am hoping to do much better this year both with blogging myself and visiting old & valued friends.

Your card is beautiful and I love the colours......much needed now all our twinkly lights are nolonger brightening a very dreary January! Spring's not far away ....is it? Love the sentiment you chose. I bought that one from Inkylicious at Doncaster last year. I can see why you love the Basic Grey paper for the paper piecing!

Morning Lisa really love that card - I used to love paper piecing as a little girl.
Hope your garden hasn't suffered any damage in the bad weather. I have had panels of a fence down, but my neighbour will sort that out, keeping my fingers crossed that the greenhouse holds together!! Take care. Jill x

This is gorgeous Lisa. Love the colours and that fab stamp. Fortunately for my purse I've not seen them on sale anywhere but seeing this card I may have to start looking. Good luck with your New Year resolution. I don't how you fit in running a home, a job, craft club and DT work let alone to blog regularly. I'll be happy to see your posts whenever they arrive though. Happy Nw Year to you too.

Gorgeous card there Lisa. I love that sentiment.
I don't do Resolutions - they always get broken but do better with Aims! That way if you slip you can get back on there! It's a Hettie thing!
Happy New Year to you and yours too!
See you in the Playground but bring wellies or waders if you have them!
Hugs
