Such Dark Weather

I'm glad to see from your comments I'm not totally nuts and lots of other people have embossed in funny places!!

Is it dark and dull where you are or are you lucky enough to be having some sunshine?

I've had to have a light on all week and it's been impossible to take any decent photos of anything so I'm going to have to show you a card I made for a friend's birthday ages ago and it's similar to ones you've seen before so apologises for that. I am working on something at the moment but it's not finished yet!!

I made this card for one of our lovely neighbours whose well into her seventies but is so active and always on the go she puts me to shame. She loves flowers but hates pink so I had to try using colours that are totally different for me. I quite like them now though. The stamps were Elusive Images Wildflowers and the inks were colourbox pigments.

While I had my stamps out I did another strip in different colours and layered it up with some cuttlebugging.

I hope your week is going well and thank you for taking the time to stop by.

I really the colourway you've chosen for your neighbours card - it's very pretty.

We had some sunshine this afternoon so thankfully didn't have to have the light on to craft yet today. I guess it's something we are going to have to get used to for a few months yet!

Love those wild flower images - 2 beautiful cards there. It's been a very dull, dreary and overall depressing day here too!

Both beautiful, Lisa! I love this idea. It reminds me of summer. I know what you mean about the weather. I have not managed to take a decent photo of my latest cards, but then I don't feel like I have been at home in daylight this week!

Two lovely cards with these great stamps. I'm sure you're neighbour was thrilled with her card - especially as it was made just for her.
Had sunshine all day here today and yesterday bit it's been a bit nippy.

These cards are fab Lisa. Made me chuckle how your sprightly neighbour 'hates' pink, She must have loved your card.

Really like the colours in the cards. I don't particularly like pink so those colours would suit me!

These two cards are stunning Lisa. I love Elusive Images stamps and you have worked your wonders with them. Makes a change not to see pink and I love the colours you have chosen.

I'm afraid I'm with your neighbour and don't like pink either but you've chosen absolutely gorgeous colours for her card. Just my cup of tea! I'm sure she loved it - I would.
