Morning dear Deskers. It's been awhile but I'm slipping quietly back amongst you and it's really lovely to be here.
My thoughts go out to all those who are caught up in these dreadful floods and I hope you are all safe and dry today.
It's been a roller coaster of a couple of years here in The Craft Garden. I started working full time 12 months ago along with caring for my Mum, our darling daughter when off to Edgehill University near Liverpool in September, a day I had been dreading for a long time, but she is having an amazing time and loves it, thank goodness but I do miss her. Then sadly my poor Mum passed away in December after a short illness. Since then I have been caught up in paperwork and clearing her house, along with work, which doesn't leave much time for anything but it keeps me busy which is what I need at the minute.
However, drum roll please, now it's Half Term, I actually have a desk to share with you.
My hubby bought me the Elizabeth Crafts planner and some dies for Christmas and it's perfect. I don't have a lot of time at the minute but this is small enough to enable me to get creative and also scrapbook at the same time but quickly. I made 3 sets of pages over the weekend.
This is the page I'm on today, I took some old photos off my phone that I'd forgotten about. I can't even remember when I took these.
And this is the one before it. We went to visit DD last weekend, it's a good excuse for a weekend away, and she took us into Liverpool on the train. I hadn't been before and although the city is much like any other, I did like the dock area. It was blowing a gale but sun was out.
Well, that's me today. I am looking forward very much to catching up with you all and seeing what you've been up to.
By the way, I've just noticed that it's exactly 100 WOYWW weeks since I last joined it....that must be a sign. I am determined to be here every week again from now on. Make sure you visit Julia at WOYWW headquarters and join in too.

It's so good to see you back on the desks Lisa, you have been missed but we all understood that you had a lot on your plate. It's tough sorting out the life of your parent after they've gone, some things were easy, others I couldn't face for quite a while. How fab that Freya is enjoying uni so much, when we last saw you I think she was thinking about GCSEs!!
Hope you have fun wmaking LOs for the memorabilia, love the colours you're using.
Hugs LLJ 5 xxx
Sorry to hear that you lost your Mom, keeping busy does help a little, but healing takes as long as it takes... Your little book is great, a lovely size to still be creative, but not take too long over. Such a thoughtful gift. #18
I only pop in during school hols atm Lisa as its so busy. So very sorry that your mum passed away - sending my love.
I LOVE your journal , especially those pinky pages - Gorgeous!!. I am originally from Liverpool ( no accent :( though) and we are off on holiday to see my cousins after not being there for years. It has changed so much since the 70's I am sure your daughter is having a wonderful time.
Have a great week . Soojay #11
Hi Lisa, we visited Liverpool a couple of years ago, when we'd gone up there for Happy Stampers. I was actually shocked at how clean and new everything looked, I'd been expecting a grimy northern town, I think. Regarding the stencil mylar, here is the own website of the place I buy on E-Bay, as they have a much wider selection on there, they mention 350 micron on the flyer in my order. It's www.cfs-mylarsuppliers.co.uk. Also on the flyer is a 10% discount, using this code:CFS2601( case sensitive).Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #4 X

So sorry for the reasons you have not been able to join us, hopefully you will become a firm fixture again now. It's hard to lose your mum and have your daughter leave home for uni in the same half year but hopefully crafting will help you now.
Hugs, Neet 10 xx
Nice to have you back with us deskers. My prayers for you and your family over the passing of your mum. Mine passed 5 1/2 years ago and I still have hard days. Anyway, your planner pages are lovely! I hope you have a wonderful week and thanks for popping by.

Hi Lisa, welcome back. I've been absent for a couple of months myself, and am making a real effort to blog more regularly. Sorry to hear about your mother, keeping busy was what helped me at that time - along with a 3 year old and a 3 week old baby! The pages in your planner look great, it's easy to lose yourself for hours when you start crafting! Have a lovely week Heather xx #26

Hi Lisa! Welcome back! I too dreaded when my DD went off to Uni, awhile ago now! She loved it so much she decided to live in the city where she went to Uni (Toronto) and will be getting married in August. I just got used to her living in another city, and now she's getting married (after 14 years of living with the guy, however), and may move away even farther. Oh well, she's definitely left the nest now, things won't be the same once kids come along! But I'm sure you won't have to worry about any of that for a long time.
You're scrapbook/journal looks beautiful! I love all the layering your did!(I'm terrible at layering!) Thanks for your visit, and have a great week, Lindart #24
Hi Lisa
So lovely to see you back in blogland again .. .. your desk looks full of lovely goodies.
Sorry though to read about all that has been happening in your life. It is hard to let our youngsters "fly the nest" and even harder to lose our loved ones from our sight for always. But even so .. .. whether we can see them or not everyone can stay in our hearts and memories for always.
I hope you are now at the end of sorting all Mum's paperwork. I am in the process of doing that for my Mum .. .. not that she is no longer here .. .. but she is a serial shredder and there is so much missing. I have started bringing all paperwork home and am trying to get it organised whilst she is still here for me to ask what things are!
Hope things get easier for you soon Lisa and you can find more time for your crafting.
Love and tight squeezy hugs
Jules xoxo
Sorry to hear about your mum but welcome back to the blog world.
Love the planner you have on your desk, can never have too many I reckon (says the woman who seems to always be surrounded by lists and bullet journals!!).
Thanks for visiting my desk already
