WOYWW 561

Afternoon lovely deskers. I'm a bit late to the party today but at least I'm here and what a lovely sunny day it is. Maybe Spring is just round the corner.

Here's my desk today.

A bit of a mess I know but I'm in the middle of a marathon card making session. My stocks are seriously low so it's all go at the minute.

I did manage a bit of a play at the weekend though. Hubby gave me a piece of hardboard he didn't want so I had a play with some Stamperia rice paper, which I've had for ages. The lady is also on rice paper, but I wanted to keep the original so this is a traced image that I then painted. I had no idea she would end up with blue hair, but I like it.

We've had so many different seasons over the last couple of weeks. The river flooded the immediate area, which is mostly just a play park but was impressive.

And then we woke up to a covering a snow, which was a surprise. It didn't last too long but caused a bit of rush hour disruption.

Well, that's me today. If you want to share your desk, then pop over to WOYWW headquarters and see what it's all about.

Happy Crafting

You're on a roll there with your cards! The blue hair works really well with the overall look of the card, I like it a lot. Typical British Spring weather, eh? All the seasons in one day virtually :-)

Hi Lisa, love the blue hair lady - that would make a nice birthday card for a lady I know. I might have to look at something similar for her. Floods, then snow - I had to look at your About Me to see where you live - Yorkshire Dale's, not a million miles from me in not so sunny Lancashire. We've not been affected by flooding where I am, but some towns nearby have not been so lucky. I am nowhere near up to date with my scrapbooking - it will be months before I catch up, but it's all good fun. Have a lovely week Heather xx #6

Hello Lisa, so lovely to see you back and by the look of the beautiful art on your desk you are back wholeheartedly. The girl with the blue hair is beautiful and the background complements her very nicely. I read over your last post and was sorry to hear you have been through so much. Always sad when someone we love passes away but when it's your mum it is devastating. You have done a great job to have a daughter who confidently steps out to start at University. Lovely to hear you can catch up on a weekend away. Once again so happy to see you back at woyww and now that my computer glitches are fixed I plan to post a bit more regularly. Love Sandra xxxx

I love your lady with the blue hair, very ethereal! Good for you for making so many cards at once, something I haven't really ever been able to do! We as well are getting all kinds of seasons, at the moment it's spring-like, but who knows what tomorrow will bring! That is quite the flooding in the park, hopefully it won't get worse...thanks for your visit, have a great week, Lindart #22

Hello Lisa, lovely to see you back on woyww. Apologies if you get my post twice I thought I had already posted only to find it didn't appear. So sorry to hear what a difficult year you have had but also lovely to know that you have brought up a confident young woman prepared to start University and life. Your girl with blue hair is gorgeous and matches the background perfectly. I also am trying to post on a more regular basis but time just seems to fly by. Have a lovely week and welcome back.

Lovely busy desk, Lisa, and your picture of the lady with blue hair is stunning. Just gorgeous! Thank you for your visit - I'm so glad you found my post interesting and that you liked my Celtic knots. Yes, having both kitties on one's lap is lovely and warm - but it's mutual - they get warm from us too! The only thing is, they are both so heavy these days! You really feel it when you've got both of them.

Happy WOYWW,

Hi Lisa, loving what you did with the rice paper, and the blue hair definitely gets my vote, lol. The flooding has been awful for those affected, fortunately we live at the top of a hill, so if ever we get flooded, it means the whole of Redditch is at the bottom of a lake!. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #4 X
