WOYWW 416

Good Morning gentle deskers on a sunny morning here in Yorkshire. Happy 8th Anniversary to you all and especially Julia for keeping us all in order for so many years. The world would be an even darker place if we didn't have the lovely friendships that have been built from the simple pleasure of sharing a craft desk.

Nothing at all on my desk today

The weather has been so lovely I've been outside rather than crafting and after the tragic events of Monday night, I haven't been in the right frame of mind. It's been all too close to home. We have people missing from town and still no news and having a teenage daughter myself, I just can't bear what has happened. It's so so sad. All my love and prayers are with everyone in this part of the world.

To remind us that there is still beauty in the world I wanted to share my other desk with you today, my outside desk. Lots in the greenhouse waiting to be planted out.

The garden is looking lush and green.

This gorgeous rose has been flowering for a couple of weeks now and it smells wonderful.

If you want to join in with the lovely world of WOYWW, then pop over to see Julia. HERE.

I am joining in with the ATC swap and have mine ready to go. I do have a few spare so if anyone would like to swap, please drop me an email, lisamello@sky.com. *sorry to those who tried to email, I put a rougue dot in the address, must have been half asleep when I typed this!!

Enjoy you Wednesday, whatever you are up too.

Goodness, Lisa, I'm saddened to read about you knowing people who are still missing in the wake of the terrorist attack. My heart goes out to you and all those you know.

I LOVE that outdoor desk. I also love your yard. It is so well manicured, too. Happy 8th Anniversary from # 1.

Oh Lisa, I am sorry to hear that you know people who are still missing. Sending out hugs to you. It brings home just how important WOYWW is, the support and friendship is sorely needed. I am envious of your garden, our new one is a wilderness of chippings and overgrown bamboo. I need some flowers back in my life :-D
Thanks for the love and comments over the years,
Hugs, LLJ 9 xxx

What a beautiful garden. Enjoy this weather whilst you can.
Yes, my friend who I was with on Monday used to mentor the Ramsbottom girl (wasn't she beautiful) so Naomi is devastated. It is heartbreaking and there is so much more to come with horrendous injuries to hear about.
Good job we have crafting to escape to.
Hugs, Neet (will swap atc's gladly) xx

Your garden looks so beautiful! What a lovely space to be able to sit in. Looks like it takes a lot of work.

I am so sorry to hear you know people missing in this terrible atrocity. My heart goes out to you. It has been difficult to focus on much else since that news but your beautiful garden has given me a lift - what a gorgeous and peaceful haven you have created there, I want to wander out with a cold drink and a good book and settle down for an hour or two!
Happy WOYWW Anniversary,

Pray dear Lisa those missing from your town are alive and fine in spite of the ordeal sad event, indeed, such a senseless act.
Love your garden, wow it's a picture of beauty. The plants in green house look grand too, and the rose well that is a cracker of a yellow rose. What's its name, please????
....a healthy string AND fragrant yellow is hard to find. Might not grow here but no harm asking.

Thanks for sharing your space each week, and happy eighth WOYWW!

Hi Lisa, I realise I'm late but if you still have any spare ATCs I would be happy to swap with you, have sent you an email. It's just been a couple of busy days not complaining really but had people visiting both days! They are like buses, you wait for ages and then two come together Lol! Have a great belated WOYWW Anniversary, Angela x17x

Gorgeous garden, love all the purple Alliums this time of year although they remind me of the anniversary of losing my Dad, happy/sad time.
Rather given up on the varifocals the past couple of days as been house bound with period and feel horrid so I didn't wish to feel any worse! Not sure I will bother any more even, never mind.
Thanks for the visit. BJ#19

I'm late. It doesn't make Monday night any more distant frankly, somehow I felt your lovely yellow rose was a nice tribute, even if unintentional. There are no words are there? I can't count the number of times that one or both of us have wandered round a foyer waiting for our gal to come out of an event because we felt we needed to 'keep her safe' afterwards. Horrifying.
Your growing looks good, love me a geranium, I can almost smell those leaves from looking at them. Love having you around for W8YWW, keep on won't you girly?

I didn't have acces to a computer last couple of days so I'm very, VERY late visiting desks and celebrating the 8th anniversary... anyway, here I am! Temperatures dropped today too so it's a lovely day to be in my atelier and be at the computer again... I love seeing your garden! I decorated my balcony (smaller than your garden but still a nice place) and it's so nice to enjoy the flowers on a warm Summer evening! Thanks for visiting my blog last week, it's so nice to be part of this lovely group of crafters. Hooray, hooray and on to another year of 'desking' and crafting! Hug from Holland, Marit #29

Hello Lisa!

Please accept my most humble of humble apologies for not getting in contact with you sooner, but I've only just come up for air after a manic couple of weeks.

I am supposed to be sending you a lovely, one of a kind ATC, to commemorate WOYWW 8 - so please would you pop me an email to the(dot)bromilows(at)btinternet(dot)com - replace the words and the brackets they are in with the appropriate symbbol. I will then send you out an ATC forthwith!

Tadah!
