WOYWW 415

Morning lovely WOYWW friends. It's a wet day here today in Yorkshire which the garden is very grateful for. I've been watering the pots for weeks now, I can't remember having to do it so early before.

I took the photo of my desk yesterday evening, hence the sunshine.

I thought I'd give you a slightly different angle to share a bit more of the chaos as there's not much happening on the actual desk. A bit more card making and some ATC's hiding away from WOYWW eyes!!!!

I have been busy elsewhere though. This is especially for LLJ. Look what I've bought!!!!!!

I thought it was time to be a grown up and stop relying on my Mum to alter and take up my clothes and I can also use it on my paper crafting so it's a win win all round. It's only a very basic model but I wouldn't be able to cope with anything more complicated, lol.

And for my lovely friend Sandra, who paints the most exquisite flowers, I thought you'd like this tulip I photographed in my garden. It's such a delicate shade of pink, more like a rose than a tulip. I love it.

Well, that's me this week, we are a revision household at the moment, GSCE's and all that, so I shall be round very quietly to see what you've all been up too.

If you want to join in with the WOYWW desk hop, then pop over to see the lovely Julia, HERE.

Thank you for stopping by and enjoy your Wednesday.

Happy Crafting!

Thanks for visiting earlier. That is such a gorgeous tulip. Good luck with getting to grips with the sewing machine. Mine is really basic too, but as long as it does straight stitch, zigzag and buttonholes you can cope with anything. Sarah #17

Yay, a Janome!! You won't regret buying one of those, they're just dead sturdy and reliable...mine hasn't got computerised screens or anything fancy either but my goodness me, I wouldn't have anything different now. Have fun playing with it :-D Gorgeous flower pic btw, I'm sure Sandra will be painting something equally beautiful soon, what a talented lady she is.
We had rain yesterday too after weeks of glorious weather. You can hear the garden sighing with relief :-D. Good luck with all the GCSE shenanigans.....chocolate helps...
Hugs, LLJ 6 xxx

Oh my goodness your tulip photo is absolutely stunning. At first I thought it was a peony and then had to zoom in and have a good look when I read Tulip. Well done on buying a Janome I have one that would be over 30 years old and still going strong. I don't do as much sewing as I used to (craft got in the way) and it is a trusty machine. Weather in Sydney is crisp/fresh and the sun was shining today. We are meant to have rain over the next few days which means the garden will get a drink. I plan on sending you and ATC for the swap no problem if you are not participating. I have a list of blogging friends and I love to send you all an ATC once a year. Have a lovely week and I hope to see more blooms from your garden.

Beautiful flower. Lovely sewing machine. I keep thinking about getting one but I've overdoing on all the crafts as it is so I'm determined to master knitting before even contemplating getting one.

Happy WOYWW

Hi Lisa, new sewing machine! brilliant and hope you have fun. That is a gorgeous flower, beautiful colours. Oh by the way it has poured down with rain here in Lincoln, think it's because I got the hosepipe out to top up the pond Lol! Thanks for the visit to mine and happy woyww. Angela x 15 x

That tulip is so beautiful. So delicate. A delight to behold.
And the sewing machine - wow, what a way to go. Hope you have many happy hours of sewing,
Your desk looks nice and orderly, I can see a card you have been busy making but try as I might I cannot find a trace of those elusive |ATC's. Better get mine started when I get home before the bathroom people move in.
Hugs, Neet (from a wet Hartlepool) 13 xx
ps it hasn't dampened my spirit and I loved driving around those lovely beaches up here.

I like your machine! Mom and i used to stitch all of the time when I was growing up. I haven't owned a sewing machine in years, but I am interested to hear what you will be doing using your Janome! Simpler is sometimes better. My mom's was a very basic old and very heavy Singer. I wish we could find proper metal parts and a good machine tech to make it so it won't skip stitches anymore. They do not make Singers the way they once did. Anyway, I even made some elaborate costumes using her old Singer - renaissance/Shakespearean. The basic, simple warhorse chugged on!
Enjoy!

Hi Lisa, oh dear, you have put me to shame, when I retired I bought a mini sewing machine to use on my cards, I have tried it once and then that was it, it is now 7 years ago, looking forward to seeing your creations with it.
Gorgeous tulip.
Well to say we are not that far away we must have had a great deal more rain than you as I can not say that our garden has really need any additional watering.
If you posted last week I am sorry that I did not comment as I was soaking up the sun in Majorca for 10 days.

Doesn't matter as long as it sews forward and backward, it's a good enough machine. And defo a win win for your multi uses, I hope you get a lot of pleasure from using it. I can see ATCs but can't make them put, they self pixilated if I enlarge the pic!! Horrible rainy day here, hope it means that when I next now the grass, it won't be on broken earth, was very surprised to see that last weekend!

years ago I also bought a simple sewing machine, even couldn't manage that, still bring everything to my mum, luckily I have her. Now and then I want to use it for paperstitching, but it gets me so frustrated, have a nice weekend, vicky #5

Hi Lisa. Sshhh! Slipping quietly into your craft room this afternoon so as not to disturb the revision which may or may not be going on at this time on a Friday evening. My eldest grand daughter is in the same state! - took her Spanish today. You have lots going on - it all looks very exciting. Great sewing machine - enjoy! Mine is STILL at the repairers - I'm just beginning to be concerned as to quite why it is taking so long. Desperately hope I get it back soon!!! I'm going into withdrawal!
Your tulip photo is just so atmospheric - it's lovely - well done.
Thanks for visiting - a great week has been had with all my college friends, and now they are gone - so I can get around to all you good folk.
Take care. God bless.
