Did someone mention snow???

Evening folks. Well, after watching the rest of the country get the snow, it was finally our turn today with around 18cm. DD got an unexpected day off school and DH, now being self employed, worked from home so we had the pleasure of an extended weekend.

The chilly weather was a good excuse to curl up in front of the TV and watch the first of Sheena's shows and I have to say I was totally blown away by the samples from the rest of the DT. It made me feel quite humble and want to start all over again with these gorgeous stamps and start playing with lots of other ideas.

However, before I do I thought I'd just share the rest of the samples I did make.

I created the background with one of the little vine stamps from the sentiments plate and then stamped & embossed the flowers onto acetate and put them over the cling background that was on my workdesk last Wednesday.

The next one was stamped with the branch and embossed and then painted with H20's. I used clear embossing powder over the top of the leaves to act as a resist and then used distress ink on the back ground. This was one of those were I had an idea and even after completing it I think there must be an easier way of doing it.

A quick and easy bit of basic scene building with Dusty Concord DI to show off the lovely sentiment.

And last but not least a hanger using distress inks on glossy card which were then sprayed with Luminarte Radiant Rain and the swirl added.

I wanted to make some 3d flowers and this seemed to be a good way of showing them off.

Thanks for stopping by. Make sure you keep safe and warm and if you can stay in and enjoy some cosy crafting.

Beautiful Lisa. Love the hanger at the bottom, but then I love those roses!
I did manage to catch a little of the repeat show and saw a few of your samples. Gorgeous and so were the DT ones too.

Gorgeous samples Lisa - I managed to watch all three shows - as well as recording them - and of course, I couldn't resist the 4 day deal - even though I'm trying to curb my crafty spending.
It carried on with that fine stuff most of the day - no sign of it going away or melting yet. Looks like I'll be out there with a broom tomorrow trying to uncover the car. Gotta get out!

Wow Lisa - absolutely gorgeous cards, don't for one minute think that your work is not up there with the best - because it's fabulous!

We had some sleet overnight but there is no snow here, but I bet it's settled not far away!

Take care in the snow. Jill x

Hi Lisa

Wow!!!

What stunning makes.

I love the colours on your last project and those flowers are amazing.

Wonder if you will get another day all together tagged on to your weekend today?

We had another little sprinkling last night but not much.

Take care.

Love Jules xx

Hello Lisa,

What a fabulous collection of artwork you have made for Sheena, I haven't seen the shows yet but I have them recorded.

I need to go check out what's going on with my dashboard because I haven't seen a post pop-up from you for ages but I can see you been busy.

It only came to mind last night when I was talking to Sally and we were discussing the four-day deal and it clicked I've not visited you lately. I'm convinced blogger hides things at times as yours is not the first blog it has happened with.

Keep warm in this oh so cold weather.
