Handbags and Gladrags

That's the theme of this weeks challenge on Tuesday Taggers. I'm not a Handbag or Gladrag kind of girl. Anyone who knows me always says that plants and craft stash are my handbags and gladrags!!

Anyway, I thought I'd have a go at this one as I have a slinky dress stamp that rarely sees the light of day, not sure why as it's lovely. I stamped it onto glitter paper, cut it out and stuck a fluffy pink feather behind and mounted it all on dark card to show the feather off.

The BP was cuttlebugged with ink rubbed over, one of my favourite techniques and cut into two circles. A pink peel off handbag and some stickles were added as finishing touches.

Thanks for a great challenge girls.

I hope you are all having a lovely weekend, the weather's not been too bad here and I even managed a few hours in the garden today. The tender plants need bringing into the greenhouse but I am fast running out of room!!

Thank you as always for stopping by and the wonderful comments you leave. I always appreciate them. For those who asked, this year's cake is still in the planning stage. I promise I'll blog it once it's done.

Lovely card Lisa, the feather was an inspiration! Mmm I am also definitely not a hanbags and gladrags person. Hate getting dressed up for anything and prefer using pockets to handbags!

Brilliant Lisa - I get what you mean about handbags and galdrags not being your thing - given the choice on spending on a bag or stash Stash always wins my vote! On saying that you have made a gorgeous card - the feather is fab and perfect for the party season :0) Thanks for joining us at TT again this week x Janet

It's gorgeous! The feather is a great addition! I only have the one handbag, and I will use it till it falls apart. It always holds my camera, money for stash and lists of what I already have after mistakenly buying the same thing twice!!!

It's a beautiful card and I love the lovely effect of the feather behind the dress, makes the dress appear even more floaty if that makes sense.

Well, Lisa, I'm with you on the handbags & gladrags thing - my clothes have to be falling off my back before I spend money on new ones rather than on stash. This is a beautiful card, and what a brilliant idea to stamp on to glitter paper, perfect for the subject. Have a great week. x
