WOYWW 418

Morning lovely WOYWW friends from a sunny Yorkshire today, thank goodness after all the wind and rain of the last two days. I thought Autumn had arrived early!!

It was such a wet day yesterday and there had been a bit of stress in the craft garden after a particularly horrible English Language GSCE first thing that we did a bit of chilling in the afternoon and got the painting stuff out and followed an online class from the very talented Alison C Board so that is my desk today.

We used watercolour and Brushos and had a lovely few hours. I also got the stamps out much to DD's consternation, being a very particular painter, but she relented eventually and started stamping on hers too.

I love painting but am no expert so don't normally share what I do, but I will today if you promise not to look too carefully, there are some very dodgy bits, but it's the process not the result that counts and I do believe that, even though I'm my own worse critic.

I also want to thank everyone who swapped ATC's with me, LLJ, Margaret, Angela, Annie, Jo, Shaz, Neet, Sandra and BJ they have been a real joy to receive and each one is so different and I love them. Apologies to LLJ, I forgot to get yours down off my board to add into the photo, and also to BJ, yours is in the post I promise.

Well, that's me today. If you want to share your desk with us then pop over to WOYWW headquarters to see the lovely Julia.

Have a great Wednesday whatever you are up to and Happy Crafting!.

Wow - that window is beautiful! So clever. Sharing our crafty love around the globe is one of our best times - so many clever crafters out there and all made with that same love - we need to spread it round the globe ever more so. xx Jo

Amazing paintings, love them both. My son has just sat his fist A-level paper and fortunately he said it went really well - phew! He was in a right state this morning! Postie has just been and nothing yet but so still looking forward to getting some more ATCs, yours included. Yes the wind down here was bad too, need to go sort the garden as the Buddleia took a battering.
Thanks for the visit BJ#17

Hi Lisa. The ATCs are great and all so different, loved the one you sent me too. Who knows maybe you will make it to the next Doncaster show. I'm going to the one at the racecourse but prefer the Dome simply because Paper Artsy attend (the next one there is October). I think your window is gorgeous. Happy woyww, Angela x14x

Wow Lisa, all I can say is keep painting as the window is stunning. Both look great and I believe loving the process is what makes a great painting. Have a lovely week in the sunshine as we have all the rain.

Awwwwww wow!

I absolutely love that art window! Don't suppose it's up for sale? :-) Maybe a print? Or a snapshot? Or mini form ATC? Really really really love it..... Seriously. We're medieval reenactors and it would fit right in amongst our art at home....

I'm wanting to send you your ATC, so please would you send your address across to me? I left a comment on your WOYWW 416 blog post....?

Hi Lisa, I adore that painting, it looks amazing. I can't paint for toffee, but then I'm sure that's why someone invented stamps! WHat a great way to relax. Sarah #8

There are no 'dodgy bits'... just brush strokes that make this piece of art uniquely and craftily your own creation... and it's beautiful!
Have a great Wednes-YAY!

Those windows are gorgeous and so is the background. I swear that I haven't looked closely but the paintings also look great too, some lovely images.
Well we have had no rain today but the wind was certainly still there and it was bitter cold.
Have a great week.

You really are your own worst critic! Great way to calm the nerves Lisa, some painting with your gal, and frankly, both pieces on your desk are really just fab. Gorgeous . Glad the weather turned a bit better for you too today, honestly, apart from sheltered roses, my garden is just a lawn full of petals - nearly everything was smashed by the rain or howled at by the wind!

I could live with that window painting on my wall, it's brilliant! I love the tones you've used...clever you! Some exam papers just unsettle everyone, I hope that DD wasn't too upset by it.

Sorry I'm late visiting. My internet let me down, but I'm back now.
And just in time to see that gorgeous painting. I'm not a stamper, but I love how you colored that window. I simply adore the painting and remind you that you are your own worst critic. If I could paint like that, I'd be jumping for joy. Happy belated WOYWW from #5.

Fabulous post,
Sorry for the delay in commenting, laptop trouble. It's died on me and I'm in a bit of a flap.
On a positive note, my Dear Husband plans to buy a replacement for me.
