A Little Bit Magical!

Afternoon Bloggers. I hope your weekend is going well. Thank goodness the weather seems to have calmed down a bit. It was positively springlike here in Yorkshire yesterday and I actually managed to spend a few hours in the garden and got some washing dry in the breeze too. Can't be bad!

Sorry I've been missing in action for a while. We had an Inkoids Retreat with Sheena last week in Newcastle which was great fun. We tried out some new goodies that will hopefully be coming your way soon and generally had a right laugh. It was lovely to be able to craft in fantastic company in a lovely location. I'm looking forward to the next one already.

So today I thought I'd share a card I made for the last show Sheena did on C&C a week or so ago which she demoed, a great honour indeed.

The stamps are from the "Little Bit Magical" set and I used Walnut Stain and Forest Moss Distress ink for the background and brushed the inked lines out with water and coloured the mushrooms with promarkers.

Well that's me today. I'm off to try out my new Distress Paints. I'll be back to share the results if things go well!
Thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting!!

This is absolutely gorgeous, Lisa! I love it! Those little leaves on the corners are so lifelike too! Gorgeous work! Your Inkoids session sounds wonderful! Glad you had a wonderful time. Snowdrops are going over here and my crocuses are in full bloom. We have spread the compost heap and dug over the veg patch. You are right - spring is definitely on the way!

Wow, this is beautiful Lisa! Fab stamping and colouring and great composition too. Believe it or not I haven't yet been able to watch Sheena's last shows although I have recorded them. As I mentioned on my blog (thanks for the lovely comment) things have been rather stressful round here again recently plus now OH is retired I don't get hold of the remote control very often and very little time to catch up when he's not here ...... he's spoiled!

I shall make a special effort to watch it now.

We had the same lovely day yesterday but today is rather wild again and certainly not as mild as they'd promised. Very dull too. Pleeeaasse let us have a proper Spring this year!

Beautiful card, Lisa.
Hope you had a fabulous time in Newcastle. As you know, my sister lives just outside Newcastle & I ♥ the place.
The weather has been glorious the last few days, light in a morning & partially light when I get home, it feels my heart with hopes of spring despite the showers & the gusts of wind. It is especially lovely hearing the birds sing as I walk home at night, it is almost dark, at 6:30 but the blackbirds give it all they have got ♥

Sounds like you had a fab time away. Looking forward to seeing what you got to play with.

I was so envious when I realised you were on another Inkoid retreat. How fabulous for you.
I watched Sheena do her version of this card (got it recorded too). It's gorgeous. I really love the scene you created. The path leading up to the tree home is really effective.

Wow wow wow Lisa! Gorgeous card. Mmm... it's not really springlike here, there is the odd glimpse of the sun and I have got crocus and daffodils in flower but, the wind needs to stop blowing and the rain needs to stop!! Jill x
