A Fairy Keeping Out Of The Snow

Afternoon folks. I hope you are keeping warm and safe. We have had a weekend not stirring very far due to the cars being buried under more snow than I've seen for many years and the roads not having been cleared. It's been lovely to have had a good excuse to stay indoors although DD has been outside building snowmen and generally having a great time.

When we were at the GNPE last weekend in Harrogate we discovered that Lavinia stamps now has a new challenge blog and this month their theme is Anything Goes. DD made a lovely card for Mother's Day for her Grandmas. I helped her with the first one and she did the second one all by herself so we are entering that this month.

The fairy has been embossed with black embossing powder and then various Distress and Adirondack  inks were blended with a shaving brush. The foliage was overstamped and some stickles added for a bit of sparkle.

Before I go I thought I'd continue the snow theme this week with that poor Daffodil that I've shared several times. It is still peeping out from the pile of snow.

You can see how much we've had from the amount piled up on the window ledge.

Thanks for stopping by and keep warm.

I love Lavinia stamps! Really gorgeous card Lisa.

We haven't had any snow at all, even most of Dartmoor hasn't had any. Mind you we had 36hours of rain so we did have flooding. Not me personally, my house stands high up but the roads were awash! Think it's a shame for the children around that they never experience lots of snow (I come from Derbyshire and we had snow every year!) lots of tobogganing!

Well done to dd, she is doing some excellent art work and it will go down well for the challenge. Bet she's the youngest entry! Having a great time here and the sun shone so much all day today and no more snow fell. despite a bitter wind we had a super trip to the local animal farm.. Alpacas, goats, peacocks, turkeys, chucks all fun when your are 3 and have a bag of carrots for them!

How strange, you are the second blog in a row doing the first Lavinia Challenge and both lovely cards. I shall be so glad when that snow vanishes for good and perhaps the ground can dry out. xx Maggie

As you may guess I absolutely love your card Lisa, I am a total Lavinia addict and along with the fusion of colours it's just prefect.

As for the snow, well it's the same here and I am really wondering if it will be another spring that just passes us by.

Looks like you've had a similar amount of snow there as I have here. Still deep on the pavements but I notice the people who have to go to work seem to have made it out of the close. I'm staying put though.I didn't seem to buy anything major at the NEC but spent more than I should have - though not as much as I could have.I did find some silicone moulds on the WOW stand for flowers and a heart. Something I've been looking for ever since I first got my Melt Pot. Your DD's card is beautiful and I hope if there's a prize in the challenge she is lucky.
