WOYWW 182

Morning lovely crafters and dear WOYWW friends.

Well, I've been absent from the register for the last couple of weeks. I didn't think you'd want to see a photo of an emulsioned wall which is what my workdesk has been, even though it was a very pretty lilac colour. Thankfully I am back at my proper workdesk today so I feel I can come back and play.

Here is my desk as of last night. I'm out all day today, this morning at work and then out for lunch with my dear blogging buddy, Sylvia, who I haven't seen for ages, so it won't change until tonight, apart from being cleared to one side so that we can eat!!! Yes I am back on the dining table. My little craft room is a bit chilly now.

I have been playing with some gorgeous Thomas Kincade Christmas decoupage from Joanna Sheen. Something a bit different for me but I only make Christmas cards for close family now and liked the look of these. I can also sit and cut them out in front of the TV so for once the cards are actually getting made in good time. In case you were wondering, I do send cards to the rest of the family but they get bought ones!!!!

All the usual card making paraphernalia  card, inks and glue but no cup of tea for me, just a glass of water. I have been told too much tea is not good and I should be drinking more water. I have found that the fizzy stuff is more interesting but it certainly doesn't beat a good cuppa. I save those for special times of day now!!

Here's a peek at one of the finished cards if you're interested.

If you want to join in the biggest weekly desk hopping session in the world, then pop over to see the desk Headmistress, Julia, HERE.

As some of you know, the reason I have had an emulsion brush in my hand instead of a craft brush is that we have been moving my MIL into a new flat. I bought this MDF blank in readiness some months ago so have been decorating it this week as her housewarming present.

The flowers have been made using the Tonic Petal Pairs punches. I have found a new love!!!

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great Wednesday and I'll see you at a desk near you very soon.

Lovely image on the Thomas Kincade card Lisa. I used to do stuff in front of the TV but now I have control of the remote the only time I'm in front of it is when I'm watching something that I've chosen to watch.lol
The HOME plaque is gorgeous - love the colours you have used and those flowers are fab-u-lous.

I love what you've done wit the 'HOME' letters, those roses are really clever! Were they tricky to make??
I'm glad your MiL is happily settle now after the tricky start!
Hope you've had a lovely lunch with your mate! I'm ever so sorry that I've not replied to your email - between school and band I've hardly been in the house for the past couple of days... and it's only going to get worse in the run up to Christmas!

What a lovely post! Sounds like you've been having a lovely day today; the decoupaged card is gorgeous -the glowing lights from the windows are so lovely; and then that gorgeous HOME piece -wonderful colours and (stamping?), and those beautiful flowers!
To answer your question - I've already done one heart - here: http://alisonbomber.blogspot.co.uk/2012/11/a-thankful-heart.html But I'm definitely going to play with texture paste on this next one, as I've done on my last couple of projects - I'm loving it!! Thanks for your visit and happy WOYWW!

Hi Lisa
Thanks for commenting on my blog, yes I had a really great time. I have quite a few more planned posts which you might like! My desk is always fairly tidy, so there is no point in joining in (the room is so small I would fall over stuff if it wasn't tidy!). Your desk always looks so interesting! Really chilly here, but my broad beans are up and so are quite a few bulbs, silly things! Jill x

Hia. Gorgeous card on your desk today Lisa. I saw these Kincaed products on C&C the other week. I tend to make cards until I can do no more which means that some family get bought ones! Hopefully I have enough this year as I have been taking part in Sandra's Rudolph Day!
I love that HOME too. I like making those tonic flowers. Why buy flowers now we can make ey?

Hi Lisa

I adore the Thomas Kinkade card - looks so warm and welcoming. And your house warming gift is beautiful - sure to be really loved.

Aha, Greggs - can't beat a cheese and onion pasty. Did I say I flew up to Newcastle from Southampton and back in the same day to surprise my step-mum for her 80th birthday in June? Arranged with Newcastle airport branch of Greggs to hold me back six stotties so I could bring them back that evening. Totally barking I know - but even Mr Down South here adored them :)

Belated Happy WOYWW and hugs, Di xx
