WOYWW 179

Morning lovely Crafters and dear WOYWW friends. Wednesday again and November already. Where did the year go? It doesn't seem five minutes since last Christmas and here we are heading for another one. I don't know, it's frightening sometimes how fast time flies by.

Anyway, enough wittering, you came here to see my desk so here it is and....gasp....horror.....

is that a Christmas card in progress at last????? I thought I'd better stop fighting it and start getting organised so the Christmas stamps have been dug out and I have made a start. It might not last, I'm sure I'll find something better to do tomorrow!!

If you want to join in this wonderful world of workdesk hopping, then pop over to see the Desk Headmistress, Julia, HERE.

Yesterday morning when we were having brekkie there was an amazing sunrise out the kitchen window and cereals were quickly forgotten while we got the cameras out. It's just a shame that after such a promising start in proceeded to rain all day and blow a right gale. What is it they say, "red sky at night, shepherds delight, red sky in the morning, shepherds warning!!!!!

I have tried to keep in short and sweet today in accordance with Miss Julia's wishes so I'll see you at a desk near you very soon.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting.

Flaming beautiful sky, what a joy to start the day with but shame it led to a miserable day's weather.
Good to see you busy ....
Are you making an angel?
Have a great week.

Yes I have started mine but not enough of them done yet. They are all different so think I will just dig out a few and make some copies.. That sunrise is lovely. Just to let you know the owls have hatched and I managed to get a photo of the babies. I have it on my blog. Sandy :) #44

Well done on making a start on the Christmas cards - it's the presents for the family I need to get thinking about.
Your sunrise photo is amazing. Pity it was the start of a dismal day but it would have lifted my spirits enough to make up for that.

Another true weather adage is 'Rain before 7, fine before 11'!! I actually do put my washing out if that's been the case :)
I haven't bought a single Christmas present..not one...sigh. Gotta get my butt into gear, but it simply isn't happening at the moment. Just too busy!

I've only done a couple which were intended to be DT makes but didn't get finished in time. It's silly because I actually love making Christmas cards once I get into the mood but I always think ..... next week, lol!

Love the sunrise photo Lisa but shame it spoiled itself later.

That is a truly stunning photo and would translate beautifully into a watercolour card. Thank you for your visit today, and your offer of numbers to get rid of these nuisances (9 so far today and still counting). We have registered with the TPS and a couple of others but none of them will stop these international ones. Apparently no-one has the authority to block the international ones, which are random generated anyway. xx Maggie #40

Ah, Lisa, fond memories of the days when I was able to get up at crack of dawn, and photograph sunrises! I remember once crossing the road in my dressing gown and slippers to get the best shot of one, minus telegraph wires!! The sun is almost over the yardarm these days before Shoshi's eyes open... My internal clock is totally out of sync with everyone else's!

That's a gorgeous photo, and well worth leaving the cereals to get soggy to go and photograph it!

Your desk looks nice and busy. The "C" word is only just round the corner now, isn't it... How time flies. Where has this year gone?

Thanks for your lovely comment, and glad you enjoyed the mini-Shoshi photos!! My mum made lots of smocked dresses - when she was expecting my sister, she went to classes. I remember being dressed in them for years. They were made of Vyella, which has always been a favourite fabric of mine - so soft and warm, and lovely to sew. I feel sorry for kids these days - they all seem to be dressed like mini-adults.

Glad you like my page-in-progress. I did a bit more on it last night. Still a bit to do, then I'll upload a post, so keep your eyes open!! It would be nice to get it finished before Remembrance Sun.

Happy WOYWW,

A great start on the Christmas cards--I am definitely lagging behind on even trying to do one Christmas card! I love your messy creative space--it would be so fun, when I see a desk like this, just to sit down and go through all the goodies and make something with someone else's stuff! Tee hee! Thanks for visiting me too! Hugs and Happy WOYWW! Sandy Leigh #24

That's the second glorious sun I have seen today - maybe I should open the curtains. Thanks for sharing - wouldn't it make a lovely card!

Good luck with the start on Christmas.

Thanks for visiting me - have a lovely weekend.

Sorry I'm very late getting round the desks this week - very busy couple of days, but I'm here now to say thanks for visiting me and that at least you have made one more Christmas card than me, can't get going this year. Love the sky photo, very dramatic and truly beautiful

Your desk looks so tidy compared to mine. i am a sea of Christmas...about 100 times messier than my picture for WOYWW this week. I have images in varying degrees of completion...design paper strewn...the embellies box dumped as I paw through it....Yep...you are definately lookin spotless today!

That sunrise is beautiful but here beside the ocean we say "red sky at night, sailors delight; red sky at morning, sailors take warning...teehee sailors or sheep...it is all where you live!
