A Gorguss use for an old CD

Afternoon lovely crafters. It's been a beautiful day here in Yorkshire after a very frosty start. It was white over this morning. Does this mean Winter has finally arrived?? I know some of you had an unexpected fall of snow yesterday!!!!

We are all back to normal today after half term but on a wet afternoon last week DD and I made some hangers from old CD's. I saw a demo doing this on C&C and had just had a clear out of loads of CD's that come free with the Sunday paper so had a big pile to play with.

I borrowed this Gorguss Girl stamp from DD, she collects them. I just love this one with the little foxes. Her stripped hat is great.

The CD was covered back and front with some lovely glittery paper from First Edition and I made the roses from another sheet from the same pack. The Gorguss girl was coloured with promarkers. I'm not too happy with her face, my flesh coloured pen needs replacing. I have tried to improve it but without much success so don't look too closely.

Right, I'm off to find a responsible adult to light my sparklers so I'll wish you a safe and happy Bonfire Night.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hi Lisa. It was a lovely day here too, spent the day in Just Tracys helping out and doing some quilting. Love the hangers, really sweet. Jill x

What a great idea for old CDs. Hope you are not too cold. No snow this time for us, but I was scraping my car this morning, and the door took some effort to open!

What a good idea to make these hanging decorations from unwanted CD's. I can see it catching on for Christmas decorations. I didn't see the C & C demo so I'm glad you've shared the idea with us on here. It's gorgeous (or should I say gorguss).

Very effective use of the old CD Lisa, a little bit different for you but very pretty indeed.

That is so lovely and would make a lovely birthday keepsake/gift/greeting combined. Your colouring is perfect. All she needs is a tiny smile.... I have an aversion to faceless images but these are so much nicer than Tilda.
Hope you had lots of firework fun. Ours could be heard in Slovenia!!! Really! I was skyping with Cardarian!

I am glad Di got to see this as she is a Gorguss Girl fan too! I know as I MADE her spend money a few weeks ago on ebay! Hee Hee! Like I was holding a gun to her head! LOL!

This is Gorjuss, Lisa...I absolutely LOVE it and your DD has very good taste, I love these images too! If I ever get the time to self indulge, would you mind if I borrow this idea for a make? Of course, I'd give you full credit if I did!! :)

Thank you so much for both of your lovely comments on my blog and give your DD a big hug from me and say thank you for her lovely comment about my card!

As for the MS punches you asked me about, I love them. I think they're a bit like Marmite, lol and some people do find them difficult to use but I've never had a problem!

Hope you and your lovely family are well...
Love and hugs to you all, Emma xxx
