Circle It With The Stampman

Morning lovely Crafters. Another week done and dusted and as it's Friday again that must mean a new challenge over at The Stampman. Lisa Sparkle has asked us this time to CIRCLE IT!!!!!!

After many attempts this is what I finally came up with. A circle Easel. I had the initial idea of the little fairy scene but couldn't decide what to do with it and several cards ended up in the bin. Once the circle easel popped into my poor brain though things started to work and I just kept going adding the embossed stars and edging. You would never believe it's taken me three days would you???

The background to the fairies was done with Bundled sage and various blue distress inks, starting with Stormy Sky and working through Faded Jeans to Chipped Sapphire and then over sprayed with gold mica spray. I always stick the moon on after inking now, saves the hassle of masking and I quite like the raised effect. I added some stickles to the edge of it for a touch of sparkle and some to the stars too. All the stamps come from the Aspects of Design Starburst Fairies and Daisy Daydreams.

The greeting stamp on the bottom is straight but I found by bending it it would stamp out curved. It had to be done quickly though before it popped back into shape being rubber.

I'm still not sure about the flowers, they were punched out and sprayed with water and scrunched, with stickles added when they were dry. They look better in real life but I need to try this technique again with some brighter paper. Still they do the job of keeping the card upright.

Don't forget to check out what the rest of the Design Team have been up to, there are some gorgeous projects to look through and we are delighted to welcome another new team member, Caroline this week.

So lets see all you circle projects. Jill is offering a £10 voucher to spend at her brand new website which will be up and running very shortly, please bear with her, there is a tremendous amount of work involved.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a lovely weekend. I don't think we are going to be lucky enough to have the weather we enjoyed last weekend but at least the wind and rain seems to have calmed down today and we have some sunshine again even if it's a bit chilly.

I am able to do so little blogging now thanks to these eyes, but I just saw your name pop on my dashboard (and on my blog, thank you) so had to come say hello.

Hi there lovely Lisa
Just popped by to say thanks for your special comments, they always make my day! Loving your card and that hanger is to die for! - So beautiful! Do you not feel like changing the decor of your stool again, the Sheena Douglas paint technique would look great on it!
Hope you're all healthy and happy
x Michelle

Ooh Lisa what a great card! I really don't like making circular cards, I find them really difficult! Love the colours you have used as well.
Hope you have a great weekend - I know that the weather is not going to be as good as last weekend, but enjoy it anyway!
I am having a mini scrapbook crop with a few friends over at Just Tracys today. Jill x

Oh Wow Lisa gorgeous as usual!!!

Sorry I have not been around in such an age but as you might have noticed I just took over running Crafty Cardmakers from Vix. Boy do I ever appreciate all the hard work she was putting in behind the scenes, lol

I also resigned from Sheena's team a month or so back as my health was just not good enough to keep up.

Glad to see you are still going though.

Hugs Lin xx

Such a beautiful circle theme project. I think I might have to swap from butterflies to fairies.... a nice smooth transition.

This is gorgeous Lisa. Unfortunately, I can believe it took you three days because the same happens to me more times than I care to say, lol! It was well worth it though Lisa to get such a stunning result. I love your flowers and the different blues you have used on the background. The starburst stamp is very pretty and effective too.

Lovely take on the challenge them.

Er, we have a nasty gusty wind blowing round here today with the odd squally little shower. It's the wind I don't like though as it gives me migraine and I had one yesterday so the poor dog isn't getting walked today I'm afraid.

Hugs
