What's In The Box?

Evening Bloggers. It's one of those nights when it's lovely to know you haven't got to go out, the curtains are drawn and the heating is on. I've hardly seen across the road all week. We have had thick fog and damp all week, really miserable weather.

On Monday though, a neighbour said that up the hill behind us the sun was out and it was beautiful. Mmm, I thought, that might be a cue for a photo so I jumped in the car and went up onto the moor, 5 minutes away and this was the view. The fog was hanging along the river in the valley bottom.

The weather hasn't bothered me though as I've been busy with cakes all week. My craft room put it's other hat on and was filled with cake and icing all week. Thankfully the finished article has been collected today so I've been able to restore the paper again!!!!! I will also be able to catch up with my blog hopping now, I've not had a minute since Tuesday so apologies for not getting round and visiting you all.

Last week I made another little box, this time with holly from the new Sheena Douglas set stamped on the box panels and coloured with promarkers.

The leaves and berries on the pop up acetate were from the EI Christmas Tree set. They were stamped with brilliance ink and waterbrushed and then had glossy accents applied. Box making is definitely becoming addictive. I especially love thinking what to put inside them, although only family who live nearby will be receiving them, I don't think they will post very well!!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Hi Lisa - I did pop by your blog on Wednesday and wondered where your WOYWW post was.

Brill photo - isn't nature amazing? I don't think I'm very far away from you and we've had fog all day too. You're right, it does make it extra nice to snuggle up inside and be warm :-)

I know what you mean about those jaggedy rulers; I could never quite see the point of them either (er, no pun intended!).

Have a great weekend,
Ciara

I haven't been around much either this week Lisa - had a bad reaction to the pneumonia jab I had earlier this week so haven't been able to craft. Feeling much better now but the weather's not helping is it. Love the photo - bet it was so refreshing to get out of the dullness. Great box - fabulous stamping as always and a lovely surprise inside.

Love Lynda xxx

Hi Lisa

We have had fog for the last couple of days too .. in fact today it didn't really clear at all.

I love your lovely little box and before I scrolled down thought there might be a yummy cupcake inside.

Hope you have a good weekend.

Love Jules xx

Beautiful Lisa. We've had a few days in grassington when the mist is in the valley and the hills are in brilliant sunshine - makes you feel glad to be alive!

Love the boxes you are doing lately, stunning ideas and beautifully done.

Hi Lisa, what a stunning photograph - you are so lucky to have such stunning scenery around you! Mind you - as I walked back along the Thames after dinner last night, I did think it looked so magical all lit up and realised how lucky I am too! The box card is fab - so pretty - I wouldnt know where to start with something like that. Take care xxx

Hi Lisa

Don't know how I missed this one yesterday, I am sure Blogger hides new posts sometimes.

We too have the typical November fog, but I have not been tempted to go in search of photos, but it's a joy to see your so thanks for sharing.

I love your little box of surprises.
