Morning Bloggers. I hope all you lucky people who got to the NEC this weekend had a great time.
After a gorgeous Autumn weekend, Winter seems to have arrived here all in a hurray. I don't think it's stopped raining for 48 hours and it's so cold!!! Roll on Spring I say!!
Still mustn't grumble, it's perfect crafting weather and I've been very productive getting things ready for the Craft Fayre I'm doing in December. This means I can now turn my attention back to crafting for pleasure, what luxury.
I love making these little boxes with a surprise inside and have loved playing with Christmas ideas. I think this one has to my favourite so I've decided to enter it into The Stampman's challenge this time which is Christmas.
It's a nightmare to photograph so excuse the poor images. The Santa stamp is a gorgeous one from Habico and I stamped it in Archival black and then just added a little bit of watercolour to his face and eyes and some stickles to the snowflakes.
The snowflakes inside have been stamped onto heat proof acetate with Starlite silver Brilliance ink and embossed with sparkle EP. They don't come out very well in the photos being on acetate but look lovely in real life.
And just to remind you that's it's not always so cold and wet, I thought I'd share a photo of this fantastic Acer we saw at Harlow Carr gardens at the weekend. People were queuing up to photograph it. It was stunning, especially against the blue sky.
Thanks for stopping by and keep warm.

Hi Lisa - it's been bitterly cold here all day too but no chance to craft as I've been visiting a friend all day. I'm sure I'll find some time tomorrow though as it's too wet outside to work even if it's not freeeeeezing.
You box it brilliant - for a start the Santa image is lovely - just how he should look and the inside is brilliant. Love it.

Wow, brilliant box, Lisa! What a wonderful Santa image, and the snowflakes are fabulous!
The trees have been wonderful this year, haven't they? Past their best now down here though - the wind and cold have seen to that! xx
Morning Lisa
That's exactly what I just wrote on another blog "roll on Spring".
Like you I yearn for the fresh greens and air. I hate these dark drab days adn yes, it is so so cold. We had another 1/2 rain overnight so I will scream the next time I hear someone talk about water shortages.
OK, your box, absolutelty delightful. I hummed and arhhed aver tha stamp and really think I should have bought it.

Hi Lisa, what a gorgeous box. Someone is going to be lucky receiving this as a gift.
I seem to be going through a very busy patch (involving nothing but ordinary family stuff) recently so am missing lots of loving blog posts.
I have been back through yours though and you've shared some lovely stuff. When it's not been raining we have had some fantastic blue skies recently haven't we and thanks for sharing the photos of the quarry you visited. Looks really interesting although I'm not sure the old knees could take the trek these days, Lol!
