WOYWW

Well if you can't beat them, join them. I was having an extremely nosey look at Kathy's workspace last Wednesday and she dared me to join in WOYWW this week so here it is.

Not as interesting as some I have to add. I have to clear away every night so that we can eat our tea so don't have the luxury of leaving stuff out. I know I have a craft room, but I still craft at the dining table-old habits die hard and I like to be amongst things!!

You can see my custom made tool holder made out of a tissue box and lots of tubes. I've tried pencil cases but they get so full and I get so cross rummaging about in them. This has been brilliant. It holds absolutely everything I need everyday and everything is easily at hand.

I'm working on a scrapbook LO as you can see. I took the second photo as there was actually some crafting going on. I'm making some flowers with this month's freebie Craft Stamper flower stamp using distress inks to go on the LO . I think this will quickly become a favourite, it gives beautiful results.

The best thing at the moment is my gorgeous new craft mat. I used my heat gun on the old one and warped it and have been crafting at funny angles for months. I decided a new mat was in order and am being extremely careful with it, hence the cork mat!!!!

Thanks for stopping by and I must say a big thank you to Lynda and Lynne who have both gone above and beyond in my Umbrella Man search and I'm pleased to say that I have now found him and he will be joining the Craft Garden very soon.

Yay!!! So glad one of my blogging buddies has joined in.

Your tool holder looks a great idea Lisa. Can't wait to see the finished layout (it's looking great at the moment) and those flowers do look good. I've yet to take mine out of the packet but I do like the look of it.

Glad you found the Umbrella Man.

Hugs

hello, I too warped a cutting mat when heat drying - even though I have a heat resistant messy mat for said task..

Isn't it great to see where others work! Not sure I will be joining in WOYWW but perhaps I'll have to take some piccies of my workspace as well for the blog. Great idea for the tool holder - I use a mug for pens/pencils. Pleased to hear you found Umbrella Man! Thanks for your comments on my blog, always good to hear from you. Jill x

Welcome Lisa, to WOYWW! Funny, you need to be in the everyday-ness of the house - me too, I had a room upstairs but felt very isolated and possibly guilty!!
Great tool holder, and happy new mat...have gone through a couple inmy time, so now I have a glass one!

So glad to hear you found the umbrella man! I'm like you, work on the dining table to be around everyone, despite having a craft room. I'm a newbie to WOYWW too, such a warm, friendly group of people

Oh welcome at WOYWW! Really clever to create your own toolbox. We crafters can make anything out of paper :)

Huge WELL DONE to you Lisa!
Everything on your table looks fab - I'll look forward to seeing that LO when it's done.

When you clear everything away at the end of the day - do you put it all away neatly or just take care with the special bits and sweep the rest into a box willy-nilly )I'd be the last one!)

Welcome to WOYWW. It's addictive. I'm sure you'll love it here.

I am totally impressed with your tool holder. And it fits your needs perfectly, which is the most important thing. I really like your ribbon storage, too. Couldn't help seeing it in your previous post. Your hubby is a gem. Sorry I'm late getting here. It's been a busy week and lots of snooping to do. Happy beLATEd WOYWW.
