WOYWW 437

Morning lovely WOYWW friends. It's been a few weeks since I've been able to join you, but it's great to be back.

Here's my desk this morning.

It's a bit of a mess. I haven't spent much time there lately, Mr Mojo went on holiday, but I decided to play in my journal and see if I could persuade him to return. This page has been developing for some months but I'm just going to put some wording on it and I think I'm done.

I've spent more time in the garden. I wanted to make some big changes and while the weather has been good I've been moving plants round and clearing out. I also got round to putting out my homemade poppy heads, made from Powertex in the summer. I will probably move them several times until I'm finally happy with where they are but for now I can see them from my kitchen window over the winter.

We had the weird orange sky like the rest of the country yesterday, it was so spooky, dark and orange as it was raining, but then within an hour of getting home, the sun came out and the sky turned blue. I took these photos within an hour of each other!!

Last week we went to Light Night in Leeds. Lots of buildings were illuminated and there were all sorts of things happening all to do with light. It was great. I loved these giant bees that climbed up the front of a hotel.

Well, that's me today. If you want to join us, then pop over to WOYWW Headquarters and join up with the lovely Julia.

Enjoy your Wednesday and Happy Crafting!

Great to see you Lisa, I think your gardening love is taking up your mojo, creativity anywhere is a good thing, and to be happily immersed in your garden is wonderful! LOVE the poppy heads, what a great idea. You know I dont journal..one of the reasons is that I never know when anything is finished!

Well done with the garden re-jigging, a good time to do it and the plants have chance to put some roots before winter. My garden is on hold until next year, we're still concentrating on the inside of the house for now. Love the Lights in Leeds, what a great idea!!

Lovely soft tones in that journal page and I simply adore your poppy heads! They're so unusual! We've had the yellow sky too - I quite liked it - it reminded me of the atmosphere I experienced during the solar eclipse a few years ago. I love anything lit up, so those displays must have been wonderful! Thanks for visiting earlier! Have a great week! zsuzsa #22

Beautiful journal pages - the face is lovely and I like the foliage around it. I have to say your poppy heads are stunning and I can't believe you made them, they definitely look like they came from a very expensive garden centre - LOVE them!!
Have a great week and many thanks for stopping by my desk earlier,

What a fascinating post, Lisa. Your journal page is absolutely gorgeous! As for the poppy heads, I thought they were real... I'm afraid I completely missed the red sky and didn't even know it had happened till someone asked me today if I'd seen it!! Love the light on the building with the peacock feathers and the bee - really beautiful! Thank you for your lovely comment - glad you like my studio - it's fairly tidy at the moment but it won't last! I agree, I haven't got the patience for Pergamano either but I was absolutely bowled over by Margaret's beautiful work. Glad you enjoyed seeing the kittens - they are fun, aren't they! They are so sweet and loving (when they are not being really naughty!).

Happy WOYWW,

I am so familiar with mojo abandoning me. Right now I'm doing okay - I hope your mojo is restored quickly. Love the images on the front of the building. So cute. April #21

Wowzah, those poppy heads are just gorgeous!!! Yes, the weather has been lovely here too ánd we experienced that strange phenomenon of an orange sky/sun - it wás weird wasn't it?! Also the cars and stuff outside had some strange, orange dust on it, the weather-man said it was Sahara sand blown to the Netherlands with the hurricane... nature is really powerful! Have fun finishing your art journal spread, it looks lovely already without words. Thanx for stopping by my blog yesterday, hope your week is bright and shiny! Love from The Netherlands, Marit #18
