Morning dear WOYWW friends. It's been a while but I'm back again amongst you lovely people. It's the first day of the summer hols here and guess what? Yep, it's raining, just typical.
Nothing much on my desk today.
I had a big clean up after my last DT session and now just have the bits and pieces I've been getting ready for my craft club tomorrow. We are going to do some shaving foam marbling. Trying to find shaving foam has been interesting, but then yesterday I found 3 cans and at the same time my hubby texted to say he'd got 2, so I have plenty now thank goodness.
Just to prove I have been busy while I've been absent from the desks, here's a canvas I made for my last DT work. Yes, I know it's Christmas but I really enjoyed making it and I don't think it screams the festive season too much.
Apart from that, there isn't much going on crafty wise. The garden needs some attention when the weather allows and so does the house so the 6 weeks are going to fly I think.
If you want to share your desk with us then pop over to see the lovely Julia, HERE.
I'll be round in a bit to see what you've all been up to whilst I've been away so enjoy your Wednesday and Happy Crafting!

It was raining here too at 5 am this morning but thankfully it's dry now and the building work is well under way :-)
I love your canvas but struggle to get excited over Christmas just yet :-)
Hugs,

That's a gorgeous canvas - I love the depth you given it and the beautiful images. Marbling with shaving foam sounds intriguing and messy - I look forward to seeing your results! Hope you have a great week,

Hi Lisa, thanks for your blog visit today, it was lovely to hear from you. I've just read back through some of your posts to see what you've been up to, lol, and I'm glad to see all looks to be fine and dandy. I'm slowly ģetting back to some sort of 'normal' since Mum passed away in May and am rediscovering crafting fun when not spending more time with the family. Love the Willow Tree lady on your desk! I have quite a collection of these figures and am always struck by the amount of emotion/feeling the artist conveys through 'body language' in figures with no facial characteristics.
Have a lovely day Lisa and enjoy what summer we are lucky enough to get ;D.
Hugs

Hello Lisa, gorgeous canvas ,,, only screams xmas a little bit:) Love all the subtle techniques you have used to bring it together beautifully. So pleased to hear I am not the only one that can leave goodies until much later. So late in fact that I often forget I have them put away. Please do show your marbling sounds very interesting with all that shaving cream. Enjoy your holidays and hopefully some lovely weather.

Your Christmas canvas reminds me of the quiet and loving moments of the season. The little vignettes are like memories and the greenery and ornament emphasize the spirit of the season. Happy WOYWW! #43
Hi Lisa, love the canvas. I agree, it's Christmassy, but not too in your face. Smiled at the shaving foam- it's like anything you want isn't it? Either can't get it, or end up with so much you don't know what to do with it all! Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #11 xxx
Have a lovely time playing with the shaving foam :) > I have not tried that ...yet :) Have a great week - hope the sun comes out soon. Soojay 14
Your comment on my blog made me laugh!! You know me too well - it's scary :-)
Is shaving foam marbling similar to ordinary marbling? I did that at school with the kids and enjoyed it very much. It's like magic when you peel the paper back and the pattern is revealed in all its glory. I can still remember the oohs and aahs...sometimes from the kids as well, lol!!!
Enjoy your holidays...you deserve it :-)

It's great to see you Lisa, I hope you have a good relaxing holiday, and find time to craft. Your canvas is great, but in the best possible way and despite your subtle design, it does scream Christmas and it makes me feel a bit of a panic!!😀
Yes we have had the rain too, for the past couple of days on and off but I spoke the fatal words to my Husband, "the garden could do with a bit of rain" so it could be my fault.
The canvas is totally gorgeous.

Hi Lisa, it's been raining here too though it picked up again in the afternoon. The weather just knows when the children break up!
Hope you have a great woyww and happy crafting, Angela x 28

What a stunning canvas.

Hi Lisa
Your canvas is gorgeous! I love the colours and the detail is wonderful. It is only the baubles and fairy lights that make it definitely Christmas. Hope you enjoyed you shaving foam marbling. I have been playing with shaving foam and dylusions recently - so much fun!
