WOYWW 294

Morning dear WOYWW friends. I hope you are well this Wednesday morning and if you are in the UK, I hope you are keeping warm. We are not used to this chilly weather are we after such a mild 12 months?

I'm looking forward to hopping round the desks of those of you in warmer climes so that I can come and warm my fingers up a bit.

Right, here is my desk as of yesterday afternoon.

I am still sticking to my "using up stash" policy and am making cards out of the remnants of a very old card kit I discovered while clearing out. It's very satisfying to make something out of not much and my box of cards is building up nicely so there should be no last minute birthday card making this year.

Here are the finished cards I was making last week. I'm really pleased how these turned out and intend to try playing a bit further as I have ideas buzzing around. As I said last week, I found this idea on Pinterest and this is the link to the tutorial. Mine look completely different but I love how you get the reverse impression of the stencil printed out.

Just to show you how chilly it is here in Yorkshire, this is the view out of my craft room window.

Well, that's me today. If you want to share your desk with a lovely bunch of people, then pop over to see our Desk Headmistress, Julia, HERE.

Enjoy whatever you are up to today and Happy Crafting.

Hi Lisa your cards have turned out beautifully. Thanks for linking the tutorial, I must give this a go as the technique is quite interesting. Yorkshire certainly does look chilly .... we are basking in a mild 25Celsius. I don't think I could cope with your weather. Well done for not buying and using your stash, I am trying to do this as well. Almost weakened and bought paints online and then I made myself take out all the paints I own and that was the end of my buying. Have a lovely week and stay warm.

Just looking at that warm, orange card should warm you up, but in case you're still cold: the sun is shining in the Netherlands and its approx. 10 above zero... get a boat and row overhere ;) Happy woyww and a hug from Holland, Marit #51

Those floral papers on your desk are beautiful, as are your butterfly cards.

It looks cooold where you are. We're at around 25°, but no snow on the ground and it's sunny.

Thanks for your visit to my blog and for the lovely comments.

Happy Woyww,

Oh! That's a cold view looking out that window! It might be weak but at least you have some sunlight right at your desk. I'm impressed that you are using up stash and kits. I have an embarrassing amount of them in various places around my house. Your cards are awesome! I'm sure it is no coincidence that they exude warmth! Stay warm and happy crafting! Judy #76

Your beautiful Springlike cards are the perfect antidote to the chilly weather outside. Goodness me but it looks freezy cold your way....we haven't had the same down here in the soppy south! And double yay for using up your old stash as well - it makes you feel quite virtuous, doesn't it?! Lol

Beautiful view from your window. No snow here in the South East but my parents in Perthshire have been snowed in for quite a few days. x

I am cold now looking out your window! It is about 5c here and it has been raining so when you look out my window it is just as cold looking. Oklahoma is normally cold in January and part of Feb. but starts to warm up late in the month. Summers here are miserable. Beautiful cards. Love the look and I have pinned the tutorial. I hope you have a great week and thanks for visiting my blog earlier. Vickie #33

Love the view from your craft room, you can see so far! I would love to take such a pic all year long ( a bit like these desks, once a week maybe) just to see how the scene gradually changes as spring comes etc. Love your warm butterfly cards, and I love to find ways to use leftovers, it's so satisfying to get rid of them, and the person who recieves the make won't know it was leftovers :)
