WOYWW 228

Morning folks. Here we are at Wednesday again. Apologies for not getting round many desks last week, we had internet problems for a few days, but thankfully my resident handyman has put it right now so I shall try to do better this week. If you want to join in the fun, then pop over to see our Desk Headmistress, the lovely Julia, HERE.

My desk is a hive of activity this week as I'm trying to restock my supplies of cards while things are quiet on the DT front. I have so many ideas of things I want to try that the days are flying by.

I've been inking through a die cut aperture with my ink dusters. I don't find I'm as heavy handed with these and get a nice soft look with the inks.

This is the end result. My new favourite ink colours, Peacock Feathers and Squeezed Lemonade.

I also got into the garden yesterday to take some pictures of the lovely flowers that are still flowering their soaks off despite the rain.

Love this apricot rose against the Acer in the background.

The baskets are still looking good. Hope the frosts stay away a bit longer to keep them going as long as possible.

Right that's me this week so I'll see you at a desk near you very soon.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting.

Morning Lisa :-)
Great card there and isn't that rose gorgeous? I couldn't photograph mine unless I had an underwater camera as it is tipping down with rain right now!
Perfect day for crafting me thinks! :-)

Ooh love those colours together. I've been re-visiting my ink dusters myself lately but haven't actually completed a project. Lots of colour in my garden still. I have one patch that is a mass of Ann Folkard geranium (never known it do do so well), verbena bonariensis and some bedding dahlias, white and purple (a happy accident as I didn't know what colour they were going to be).
The down side is the sycamore tree behind the back fence. I cleared all the leaves from the lawn yesterday and it's half covered again already. Enjoy the rest of your Wednesday.

Hi Lisa,
What exactly is aperture ink dusting? Whatever it is, I love the card and I agree, that color combination is awesome.

We got our first dusting of snow today; luckily I had moved my geranium inside just in time. Your roses and garden are so pretty.

Thank you for visiting me already. I'm getting to sneak around to a few desks today after all.

Happy WOYWW

Hello Lisa, how nice of you to stop by Magpieheaven earlier! I love your pretty card; I love those distress inks too! Peacock Feathers and Squeezed Lemonade are the two I use the most, I find. Your garden is looking gorgeous, especially those apricot roses. There's nothing like raindrops on roses, as Maria once sang!!! Have a great WOYWW! Julie Ann xx #45

Hope you aren't "drooping", although I will be, if I go outside as it's 33deg (about 91 F).

Hi Lisa
I love your finished piece using your ink dusters, you reminded me that I don't get mine out enough. We end up buying so much that stuff gets pushed aside and forgotten about.
Love all those flowers still in your garden stunning
Happy WOYWW have an enjoyable week hugs Ria #22

Very pretty, I love those colours together they work so well.

I have been very busy with online Silhouette Cameo classes & have also signed up for Creative Chemistry 1 & 2 but I did have to take a break from it all for a Card commission.

Your rose is so beautiful. Sadly, I have no flowers this year but I am looking forward to planting up the raised beds I am having built very soon. Thank you for your visit this week. You are right about Ralph McTell. He is brilliant live and just so natural and relaxed. xx Maggie #4
