In A Bit Of A Tangle

Afternoon folks. I hope you are all keeping well and enjoying this lovely long summer we are having. It's another beautiful day here in Yorkshire and I'm just heading outside into the garden again. Lets hope it continues for a while yet, although while the sun shines, little crafting gets done in The Craft Garden until it gets dark.

I've been having a play with Zentangling this week which is definitely something new for me and this is the result.

I used Sheena's Daffodil stamps from the Floral range as they are nice and big and kept the tangles fairly simple being a complete beginner. It's taken me absolutely ages, nearly three nights in total but I'm quite pleased with the results. I'm not sure I've got the patience to do it on a regular basis but I've enjoyed doing something completely outside my comfort zone for once.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the weekend whatever you are up too.

Back From Holidays

Morning folks.

I know I haven't been around much lately but I do have a good excuse!!! We've been on our holidays for a much needed dose of lovely clean Austrian mountain air. After leaving hot summer weather here we arrived in record temperatures over there. Austria have had a brilliant summer too with record temperatures of 40oC!!! It was far too hot to be climbing mountains and thank goodness we had two lovely swimming pools to cool down in.

Here are just a few photos to give you a taste of how beautiful it is.

Beautiful Mayrhofen, where we stayed, in the heart of the Tyrol.

It's never too hot for shopping. Looking over Innsbruck before we hit the shops.

And after a lovely walk in the mountains a much need Apple Strudel and pint of Radler (a local beer and cloudy lemonade shandy). Bliss!

I now have crafty withdrawal symptoms and need to get inky again and I'm determined to blog much more regularly than I've been doing so I'll try and get round and see what you've all been up too just as as soon as I can.

Thanks for stopping by and it's lovely to be back.
