Just Saying Hello

Morning folks.

Just a flying visit to say Hi and sorry for not being around much lately. My Mum is in hospital after a knee replacement op and things are not going quite as smoothly as we'd hoped so I haven't had a lot of free time to do any blogging after hospital visiting and looking after things here at home.

If you managed to catch Sheena's last shows on C&C when she was revisiting the Divine Inspiration stamps then you'll have seen the card in my last post in the flesh. I was delighted that Sheena thought it worthy of being demoed, what an honour.

I also had a play with the beautiful, huge, tree stamp and haven't shared the results with you yet, so here they are. Very simple, but then the stamp speaks for itself.

This one was just white embossed on pink vellum.

And I created a washy background with distress inks and just stamped this one with Peeled Paint.

Thanks for stopping by and I shall have a catch up with all my blog visiting just as soon as I can.

Happy Crafting!

Hello Lisa, I wondered where you'd got to! Thought you might be on holiday or something!! Hope your mum is improving, it took my mum a while to get over it as well.
Well done you for getting your stuff shown on TV...can I have your autograph please??? :)
Hope you and yours are well and happy!

These are both lovely Lisa but I have to say the firs one is my favourite which is strange really as I am definitely not a pink girl but this is a nice dusky pink and the white embossing looks almost lacy against it. The colours on the second card are really pretty and I love the washed effect.

Hope your Mum is soon on the mend and life can return to normal for you all.

Hugs

Hello to you too. So sorry your mum's op didn't go quite to plan. Hope it's a minor blip and she is soon up and about again.
Yes I saw Sheena's shows and recorded them as usual. Amazing work by you and all the team.
Love these two versions of the tree stamp. Haven't used it myself yet but I think I know who's going to get if for their birthday next month.

Hope your Mum is recovering well soon. My dad has his hip replacement 4 weeks ago and is making good progress now, despite set backs caused by pressure sores thanks to the surgical stockings. We are hoping the swelling will go down soon and he will be able to wear his own size 6 shoes or my brother's size 7, rather than the next door neighbours sandals which are size 11!
I love both of these cards - you know what a sucker I am for tree stamps. I am wondering if I can justfy buying this one, as I have a similar one by Andy Skinner!

Shame about your Mum's op. Such a shame for her and for you too. Hope you are ok with all the things you have to do, it's understandable that you have less crafting time.
The two cards are gorgeous.

Hi Lisa - I don't often use tree images, but this might just tempt me - it's gorgeous, and I love the cards you created with it. The white on vellum is fab.

See you soon - hugs, Sylvia xxx

Sending good wishes to your Mum and you too. Gorgeous cards there Lisa. No surprise that Sheena chose your card to show though I don't always get to see it as Sheena is on during the day :-(

Well only a day late but at least I made it round………eventually!
Oh wow Lisa, that Pink card is stunning. I’m not surprised that Sheena chose to show your cards on the TV because they are always beautiful and you’re so imaginative in the way you use them.
I pleased that you want to swap ATC’s on the 29th. Email me Here with your address and I’ll pop one in the post to you nearer the time. I’ll email you back with my own details.
Hope you mum’s on the mend soon.
Happy Crafting!

Sorry to read about your Mum Lisa, it must be very frustrating but I hope she turns a corner soon. We are having a very dreary spell of weather, could really do with a bit of sun to lift the spirits! Love the tree stamp - a very tranquil card, lovely! Cheers Claire x
