A Little Bit Of Sheena

Hello folks. Isn't this sunshine lovely? We could just do with the wind dropping a bit here in Yorkshire. It blew my sheets off the line today. I had to go and unravel them from the roses bushes.

For those of you Sheena fans, she is back on the tele this Thursday. At the minute the times on C&C are 10am and 3pm. The stamps featured will be the beautiful Divine Inspiration set from a few weeks ago and I've really enjoyed playing with this lovely stamp again what I still think of as Fountains Abbey.

I was inspired by some artwork I saw recently on a lovely blog from Ria Gall where she had created a collage with the arches. I decided to take this one step further and stamp the image several times over a distressed background. I then bleached out the detail and over stamped with crackle and splodges before adding the words in gold embossing. The fence has been stamped with white acrylic paint. I love the effect it gives.

This is the first time I've played with my new Summer Distress inks and I'm loving the bright colours although I had to tone them down a bit as I went overboard with them as usual.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting!

Hi Lisa, what a beautiful card, those colours are gorgeous.

We have had a very brief glimpse of the sun, just dull, dull, dull. Have started cutting down some bushes in the front garden and put some violas in my tubs at the front but that is about all!!! Oh when will it brighten up and be warm..?

Oooooo! Gorgeous card there Lisa! Love what you have done there.
I am enjoying dry weather, a little wind is a minor thing...as long as there is no rain!

I love this Lisa, really love the colour and would never have thought of stamping with paint, it is very soft, giving it the look of chalk. Very nice work.

This is fabulous Lisa. I love the way you have repeated the stamp and the gorgeous background. As I was 'coming to' this morning I was thinking about a wedding card my daughter asked me to make yesterday and had decided on using this stamp but in monochrome I think. Have to have a play when the chores are done.Didn't do my sheets yesterday as I was going out and thought it might rain. It didn't - but it is now. Grrr.

I had to go back and check the date of your post when I saw the mention of sunshine Lisa. We had a glimmer Sunday but right back to winter again now.

The weather man forecast 18 deg for us today, so I can only assume he had had a few too many because the heating is back on.

Super fusion of colours and great use of the Sheena stamps.

Apols for he lack of visits lately, hopefully getting back into things again now the worry is over.

Hi Lisa, love your card.. very ethereal and dreamy. I'm playing catch up as we had a lovely day out in Sunny Southport. Despite the strong wind it was a lovely day.
At home our garden table blew away down the garden and it has a weighted base attached to it which holds the sun parasol!! Glad it went away from the house and not through it! lots of love Jo x

Hi Lisa
OMG what can I say, thank you does not seem enough. Thank you so much for bringing Sheena over to my blog, thank you for having me mentioned on Sheena's show and thank you for saying that I inspired you.
I honestly feel very honoured by this, I am just a keen crafter with a love of all things creative.
Sheena is one of my most favourite stampers and my sister says when she watches Sheena she feels like she is watching me crafting.
I am looking forward to using the other stamps in the set so perhaps you will pop back another time to see what I have been up to.
Thank you Lisa
I have to say Lisa you have take the stamp to the next level, I love the shadowing and the use of the gold embossing.
This really is a stunner, love it
Ria

Stunning, Lisa!!!
I totally love it!

I've been a dreadful blogger this year. I just love curling up reading far too much to craft. I have made a few pieces but I have to want to create to be able to truly make anything worthwhile.

I am having another lovely day dying yarns today. Caleb has been off school and will be at home next week while he's monitored on his new meds. He's not too enthusiastic about me teaching him! What a brilliant card Lisa! Unfortunately, I missed Sheena's show and I'm really miffed now as I would have loved to see this one being demoed. Gorgeous background colours and I think you were right to mute them a little.

That cool wind is a blinking nuisance isn't it? It never seems to have gone completely and although it was warmer for a couple of days, today (Sat 27/4) has been really chilly.
