WOYWW 184

Morning lovely crafters and dear WOYWW friends. I can't believe it's a week since I last posted anything. To be honest I can't believe it's a week since the last WOYWW, surely it was only yesterday we were all desk hopping!! If you want to join in the fun, then pop over to see our lovely Desk Headmistress, Julia, HERE.

It's another chilly morning here in Yorkshire. Very seasonal but it makes driving interesting. I slid all the way to drop DD off at her friend's so that they can walk to school together. When you live on a hill whichever way you go makes for an interesting experience. I love the cold weather though, at least we get the sunshine.

Here is my desk as of yesterday afternoon. It looks exactly the same this morning and won't change much until later.

I'm still prepping for my workshop tomorrow morning. I never really know numbers until a few days before so don't do the main bits until then. You can see the wreath bases cut out ready and I've just stamped up some paper to cut out a few more tattered florals. It's so much cheaper than buying or printing paper and when mixed with all the other layers looks just as good.

This is what the finished wreath will look like. I first made it this time last year for a challenge over at The Stampman and it stayed up all Christmas.

The flowers are layered up and held together with a brad and then scrunched around to give them some shape before being spayed with mica powder and glittered. Some mirricard swirls are added for a bit more shape and a nice bow finishes it off.

I've cut out flowers in blue and in the more traditional red and green so I hope they enjoy making it as much as I did.

Right, I'm off to work now and then I have a Christmas tea party this afternoon so I'll hopefully see you at a desk near you this evening.

Thanks for stopping by and have a crafty Wednesday.

Hi Lisa. WOW, this is such a fabby wreath - wish I didn't live so far away else I'd add an extra one to your numbers :) Love it in the blues!!

Be careful on those slippery roads - I didn't go out last night for that reason. I love this wreath and if I get time (ha ha) I think I'll have a go at making one myself. I have the tattered floral dies alright - but being scissorly challenged the wreath base could be a problem.lol
Really love it in the blue shades - it's gorgeous.

That wreath is absolutely blinking GORGEOUS!!!! I love it. I'd be up like a shot to have a go if I wasn't playing piano for the Nativity and then with the band in the evening :D
Hope the workshop attendees have a fab time making their versions!

That's gorgeous, Lisa. I love the addition of the mirror card swirls. The colour is suitably icy too - great work!

Thanks for your visit and your nice comment. I'm gradually making headway with all my various projects and am very excited about my album. We spent yesterday at Mum's and I found a whole lot more fabby photos to use! Today I'm trying to tidy up and sort some more of my shelves and poss. do some more downsizing.

Happy WOYWW,

We also live at the top of a hill so we have the same problems when it is icy, but at least we do not flood. Your wreath is so pretty and completely different to the usual colours. Thank you for your visit today and I love that idea of sending card kits out to save time. Better than the games you get in the average cracker. Have fun. xx Maggie #33

Love the wreath! I had a great time on my cruise but now I am so feeling the crunch of the holiday season. I plan on getting the tree and decorations up by Friday and leaving them till...?? I hope you have your holiday plans more in control then I do! Thanks for visiting my desk and leaving such a nice comment! Have a great week! Vickie #3

That's a pretty garland and no wonder it stayed up all year, a shame to take it down.

Gorgeous .... absolutely stunning. Love the colours, love how you have used the tattered flowers. I have the same diecut and never thought to use it in a different way. So now I am going to borrow your idea and that is because I can't get to the workshop!!
