Having Some Inky Fun

Morning lovely crafters on this miserable Monday morning. At least the weekend stayed dry, well it did here in Yorkshire. Saturday was glorious and although yesterday was misty I managed a few hours in the garden so musn't grumble about the rain today I suppose.

I have many stamps that have yet to see the sight of an ink pad, I bet I'm not alone, but after recently putting them all into some sort of order I decided the time had come to actually try and have a play with them.

I bought all these at the GNPE in Harrogate earlier in the year from Lavinia Stamps and Inkylicious. They work so well together. I love the Inkylicious sentiments.

This first one I have made for my SIL's birthday tomorrow.

I used Stormy Sky and Peeled Paint Distress Inks and Clover Adirondack. It always amazes me what you can do with just a few ink pads.

This next one is for a young lady who will be 14 next week. Her Dad was an usher at our Wedding and we didn't know whether baby would hang on long enough for him to be there. In the end she arrived 5 days later.

And I just had a play with this one.

Well, I think it's time for another cuppa and then I shall hide myself in my craft room and make the most of having to stay indoors.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a Happy and Dry Monday,

Oh Lisa, I love Lavinia’s stamps. I saw her demonstrate at Ally Pally last year and what she does with them is just amazing.
You’ve done a fab job too! Such beautiful colours, especially the last one. No crafting for me today, I intend to start on my tax return.

Happy Crafting!

Hi Lisa, you always do the most gorgeous inky backgrounds. Love all three of these cards.
Now that you've inked these stamps up, you'll be able to buy more at GNP soon!

Three beautiful cards - and in a technique that escapes me - consistently! Love the colours you have used and the gorgeous stamps of course. Great use of a rainy day.

WOW!! These cards are absolutely gorgeous and I love the inky backgrounds you've created..they are stunning!!

Sorry for not visiting too much lately...lots of deadlines and not enough hands, I need to become an octopus to work on all the jobs! lol!!
Hope you are ok, keeping dry and not been affected by the weather I've seen on the news!!
Thinking of you all...

Beautiful cards Lisa - I love the fairy one (of course!), but I also like the way you have made the sentiments the focal point on the other two cards. Gorgeous colour combinations too.

Lisa these cards are truly stunning adore this style - so meditative and beautiful with a sort of wistfulness to it.
What is the name of the stamp you use on the top, the one that hangs and droops down so beautifully. I have ones for bottom like that - but would really be able to use the one for the top.. thanks for sharing and yes do love getting inky you cant beat it, so therapeutic.. great share, Shaz in Oz.x

Lisa I know exactly what you mean about uninked stamps! I have a box full of beautiful Lavinia stamps and quite a few Inkylicious ones which I've barely had time to open the packaging on let alone ink up. It's a crying shame but I will get to them one day!

Your cards are absolutely gorgeous and I especially love the soft colours of the first one.

Glad to hear you didn't suffer too badly in all that rain. We got off very lightly here being in an elevated position.

Hugs

These are lovely!! Your inked backgrounds have such smooth gradiations of colour - mine always seem to come out blotchy!

Beautiful cards, I especially love the first one, and the third is a marvellous second!
Thanks for leaving a nice comment on my blog, I appreciate it so much.
Another reason I don't tell too much on the techniques, is because I get published often, and it wouldn't be fair to describe the techniques on my blog then..
