WOYWW 150

Morning lovely Crafters and WOYWW friends. I have been absent from the role call for the last couple of weeks due to the Easter Hols. We didn't go anywhere but I had the luxury of everyone being at home, which was a lovely surprise as Hubby was due to be away both weeks but his trips were cancelled. It's a wonder you couldn't hear me cheering from your house!!! Anyway, I decided to have a little break from blogging as well so that we could spend some quality time together, so bear with me while I try to catch up with all I've missed.

It's great to be back among the world of WOYWW. If you haven't discovered it yet, then pop over to see the Desk Headmistress, Julia, HERE, but beware, it's highly addictive. My desk today is my usual mess. I realised that my trays at the end are almost as messy as my greenhouse shelves with all sorts of things balanced precariously!!!

There's definitely plenty of work in progress. I needed some quick cards to restock my supplies and have discovered that if I put my mind to it I can be quite productive these days. This is the card that's on the desk using one of my favourite stamps from Impression Obssession and Stormy Sky Distress ink and not much else.

Bearing in mind Julia's missive to be brief I thought I'd just leave you with a glimpse of the gorgeous tulips we've been enjoying in the garden. I didn't replant any last Autumn and thought there wouldn't be so many this year but they have proved me wrong and been brilliant. I do so love the Spring.

Thanks for stopping by.

Aha - a fellow tulip fiend!! I've got loads scattered around my garden and in tubs too. They're such good value, aren't they? I neglect them all year and they reward me with their jewel colours.
I grow the plants on to sell to friends, neighbours, band members etc. I don't make huge amounts, but enough to nuy my seeds, compost and a few plants for my garden. I've inherited my dad's green fingers and am never happier than when in my garden covered in mud. Haven't changed since I was 6..... *grin*

What a beautiful card. Lovely.
Believe you me, it was not choice I was up so early, and I nearly didn't make the no 1 spot - that was a fluke.
I'll be nodding before long.

Lovely card there Lisa. I have a similar stamp and I think I have only used it once for a cover on a scrapbook. Maybe I will dust it off!
Lovely tulips. I always have "issues" with tulips. They dont seem to like our earth but yet some grow in the most oddest places - not textbook like!
As for Monkey, you can have him right after LLJ has borrowed him to cut her bunting out! He does require a few friends to help him with punching as he is only a lightweight!
LOL!

Gorgeous Lisa, your desk looks a 'busy desk'! Love the stamp on your card, perfect stamping colour as well. I love tulips but just don't seem to be able to grow them, they just disappear after the first year! I'll keep trying though! Jill x

I do love tulips...and they look so much better in the ground! What a fab pic - it's like a tulip meadow. As for trays at the end of your desk...I banished mine in the end..they were filled with cr*p and I just kept spoiling stuff trying to ram more stuff in them! I love the colour you've chosen for that card..very applicable to today I must say!!

The garden is gorgeous. I'd like to be out there relaxing in the sun right now. Great card. I find seashore images soothing and the color ink really adds to that. I did chuckle at your precariously balanced papers in trays. It made me feel at home.

Hi Lisa, a bit late but got here eventually. My printer has been playing up so I have wasted an inordinate amount of time clearing nozzles and cleaning heads today. Glad to hear you've had a 'restful' family holiday and nice to see you back. If you ignore the precarious piles in the corner, your desk looks a haven of tranquility :) Love your card - amazing results with just some stamps, love the stamp, and an ink pad. Your tulips are a treat - mine have come to nothing and I didn't plant up any new ones either :( Ah, well, will have to plant up some more in the autumn. We've just had a shower of hailstones! Hope you have a lovely week. Elizabeth x #27
