WOYWW 141

Afternoon lovely Crafters and WOYWW friends and hello and welcome to all my new followers. I couldn't believe how many of you there were after WOYWW last week. Wednesday is definitely my favourite day of the week nowadays. It's always brilliant to make new friends and discover lots of new work spaces to rummage about on. If you haven't discovered it yet, pop over to see our Head Deskmistress, Julia, HERE.

I'm late this week as the sun has been shining so we've been out in the garden this morning. DD is much better now (thank you so much for all your good wishes) although still a bit spotty but I promised her some sunshine and fresh air would do her good as I was desperate to get out in the garden after being stuck indoors for weeks!!!!

Here is my desk as I left it last night. I'm in the middle of altering a plaque I got for my birthday with pegs and hooks on for displaying things. It was originally a dirty pink colour with plastic cup cakes, not really my thing so I've been doing a bit of a painting and stamping and just need to finish making some paper flowers and I'm done. I'll share it with you when it's finished.

You might also be able to spot my Valentines choccies.... unopened!!!! I'm being a good girl although not sure for how long!! They are sitting there looking very tempting.

Now that the garden is looking a bit tidier I can see the lovely snowdrops that have sprung up everywhere although my crocuses seem to have disappeared. I must have dug them up over the years so will need to make sure I replant lots in the Autumn. Here's one that has survived though.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your week. I'm off to make a cuppa now so that I can sit back and enjoy some desk hopping before it's time to start some tea.

Hi Lisa, it's still too cold here to work out in the garden but a brisk walk down by the river has perked me up. My chocs are open already ... I'm convinced that himself buys them because he likes them too :) Your plaque is going to look fab once it's has been fusioneered. Forgot to say earlier, I laughed when Sheena suggested that your lilac made a great hyacinth, knowing you are really not keen on them. Ours have gone over now and the perfume became a stink by the end! Love your crocus photo ... gorgeous colour. Have a great day. Elizabeth x #116

That hanger/peg/hook whatsit will look much better for a makeover. I think this cupcake mania is over-rated myself!
I've been out in the garden too, yay for sunshine and feeling springlike! My job was to tidy up my greenhouse, all the hundreds of pots needed sorting and stacking. I grow bedding plants to sell, so I do need to be organised. I spent a very happy 2 hours on my tod - bliss!!

Your plaque is looking gorgeous so far, will you show it when its finished? Did you have to gesso it before you stamped? Pretty flowers too - at least the spring might come!

Hi Lisa
Your spring flowers are so beautiful. Our snowdrops have appeared again today now the snow has melted. Your plaque looks very interesting, and your will power must be amazing, as Lindor Chocs are so delicious! I am half way through my toblerone, but Meg has been 'helping' me!

Your plaque is looking good and will be fabulous when it is finished. Love you flower photos, so much detail, and all in focus - which I find very hard. Snowdrops are one of my favourite flowers - so much hope of a spring to come.

Oh, I also love snowdrops! Mine are blooming too. They bring such promise of the season to come.

Have fun with your hanging hook plaque. It looks as though it is coming along quite nicely.

Hi Lisa

Sorry I'm late this week - ever felt like strangling British Telecom?

So pleased that DD is lots better - right, that's the most important thing out of the way :) I agree that your alteration is much needed and will no doubt be fabulous - love your flower piccies too.

Remember if you use snippets (scraps) to link up to the weekly snippets challenge on my blog. No prizes but it's fun in the playground :)

Sometimes you just have to do your own thing on a plaque, the colours you have chosen are very pretty. Lovely bulbs in your garden.
