When A Lilac Is Not A Lilac

Afternoon lovely Crafters and friends. I hope your weekend is going well. At least the temperatures seemed to have risen above freezing today so lets hope we have some better weather for Half Term.

While I was painting Lilacs recently my Hubby was peeking at what I was doing and asked if it was a Hyacinth. I put him right and he said it still looked like a Hyacinth flower to him, which got me thinking, so here is my Hubby's Hyacinth.

It's painted in exactly the same way as the lilac but just rounded off at the top instead of going to a point and flattened a bit at the bottom. I stamped some script with Stormy Sky Distress Ink to add a background and embossed the edges.

I am so lucky, not only do I have a DH who never minds about my crafting but also contributes in brilliant ways too.

Right, I think it's my turn to cook tea tonight so I'll say thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great week.

Gorgeous! My new stamps have been dispatched so hoping they arrive tomorrow. Agree this stamp has potential to be used for other flowers not just Lilac. Great card. Zo x

Long time since I've had the chance to stroll around my favourite blogs - I hope you are keeping well and had a great Christmas - yes, I know it was a long time ago hehehe

It is stunning Lisa. I have all the other stamps and can't afford to get the latest Pick of the Week otherwise I would get these. I am so glad that Sheena released these.
Love your work.

This is gorgeous Lisa. Did I spy this one on the show the other day? I always watch out for your stuff but don't always catch what they say (combination of my poor hearing and Sheena's acent, lol!).

You really are very good with the Paint Fusion technique.

That was a very good observation by your OH by the way.

Hugs
