Happy New Year

To all my lovely Blogging Buddies I'd just like to wish you the Happiest of New Years. I hope it's a Healthy and Peaceful one and brings you all that you could wish for. Thank you for all your support over the last 12 months and I look forward to crafting with you all over the next 12 months.

It's been a very quiet and relaxing Christmas here catching up with Family and Friends and playing with all our new toys!!!

I have to admit that my crafting mojo seems to have taken an extra long Festive Holiday and every time I pick something up I just lack inspiration. It's so frustrating when Santa was kind enough to bring me some lovely stamps and papers to play with. Hopefully it will return very soon. If anyone has come across it on their travels, please send it back express delivery.

In the meantime I have resorted to an old love, cross stitching, which I haven't touched for years. I hate having idle fingers! Trouble is there's not much to show you. So I've had a trawl back through the archives and found a Scrapbook Layout I haven't shared. This was one of the first ones I did and I like the montage of photos of a favourite place I have been to many times. You always see the same photos of Bolton Abbey but doing it this way made me look at a well loved place much more closely.

I also had a go at making my own rub ons using some special printer paper and the fonts on Windows. I keep meaning to have another go now I have Photoshop so think I must make that a thing to do this New Year. Is there any technique new or old that you have made a priority to try this year?

Well, thanks for stopping by and I hope you are all having a lovely, relaxing Bank Holiday Monday. Enjoy whatever you are doing.

Hi Lisa. Thanks for the comments on my blog and I wish you and yours a very Happy New Year. Love that LO of yours and how clever making your own rub-ons! Hope the mojo returns, I always think going to a sketch site and looking through ideas there or even looking back through my own scrapbooks sometimes helps!!! Take care Jillx

Hi Lisa, and Happy New Year to you too. Love your layout of Bolton Abbey - you've created a really fab montage. There are so many new techniques I want to try that I can't possibly list them all or I'd be here all day. However, I will say that trying them out adds to the fun of crafting. Elizabeth xx

Hi Lisa

COnfess I am finding it very hard to get back into the crafty groove as well.

The holiday period has been nice, but this year it seems to have gone on forever with all the extra bank holidays and I've not know which day is wick this last week.

All I seem to have done is cook one meal after another and it seemed like I was feeding the Nation some days. Bread and cheese for the next week I think.

Happy New Year.

Happy new year Lisa. I love visiting Bolton Abbey, it's a lovely place to go walking. Your pics are great, I particularly like the one with the row of gothic arches.

We went for a walk around Fewston reservoir this morning and couldn't believe it was frozen over and with some chunks of ice at least 3" thick - brrr!

I just got a Sizzix Bigshot Express, so my old & new technique is definitely going to be die-cutting. If I see your mojo floating around, I'll send it back over your way!

Super page and lovely photos - I'm intrigues about the stuff to make you own rub-ons. Haven't heard of that. Sounds such a good idea.
I haven't seen your mojo but if I did I'd kidnap it and send you mine instead.lol.
Happy New Year.

Hi Lisa,

Wow, what a fabulous montage! The sort of thing I'd love to be able to do but never know where to start.

Know what you mean about lack of mojo. Mine seems to have gone on an extended vacation too. Mind on too many other things, I think. Anyway, I'm glad you had a lovely Christmas, & I hope that 2011 is wonderful for you in every way. xx

Hi Lisa - sorry you've lost your mojo - bet it's hiding in a dark corner of your craft room - probably having a rest after all those mince pies!! Love your photographic collage of Bolton Abbey - it really is a beautiful place to visit.
Look forward to seeing you soon, Hugs, Sylvia xxxx
PS: Did you feel the earth tremor at about 9pm tonight - not nice!!
