Inspired By A Book

Evening Bloggers. How's your Monday been. Better than the weather I hope.

I had a wonderful day out at the Northern Papercrafts Show at Harrogate on Saturday with my lovely blogging buddy, Sylvia. We had an extremely good shop and kept ourselves going with lots of coffee. I now have all sorts of exciting new things to play with and can't wait to get going. I have so many ideas buzzing around in my head and just need to get on with it all.

I am busy making cards for my DD's Christmas Fayre. In my wisdom I have decided to have a stall but it suddenly hit me that I need a few cards to put on it. I am not a natural card maker so am having to be strict with myself and just get on with them.

This is one I created today, I did make more than one , honestly!!!! Anyway, it struck me that it fitted with what I wanted to enter into the Tuesday Taggers challenge this week. Their theme is books. It reminded me of the wonderful book and film,"Chocolat" which is one of my favourites.
I've only just scrapped in with it, sorry ladies.

The stamp is from Elusive Images, which is coloured in with pro markers and some stickles The BP is from Kanban and I've also added some card candy.

Right, I'm off to have a play with paints and stuff so thanks for stopping by and enjoy your crafting.

Hi Lisa

I promise I did make my card this morning.. .. but was up at 5.00am !!!!

Cleared the kitchen, got the washer going and then got crafting.

I have the first of three Craft Fayres this weekend - I need to make, make, make too!!

Your card is gorgeous and I am sure they will sell brilliantly. Cupcakes will be the new mince pies LOL!!

Have a good evening and can't wait to see your new stash .. .. perhaps on Wednesday if you haven't put it all away???

Love Jules xx

Hi Lisa
A great card never the less. I have loads you can have if you want them. I make them and end up forgetting everyone's birthday so have a couple of shoe boxes full.
Thanks for joining in TT this week

Lovely chocolatey card Lisa, I think your cards are just as brilliant as your LOs and your photos! Thanks for your lovely comment on my blog. Saw Barbara Gray at Ally Pally and she is inspirational isn't she. Got our rather second rate craft show in Exeter in a couple of weeks time - I'll go, but its not up to much, but its all we have got. Jill x

Hi Lisa. You say you're not a natural card maker, but I certainly can't tell the difference! This one is wonderful, I love it! It fits "Chocolat" beautifully. That was a great film, wasn't it?

I was dying to go to the GNPS, but am saving my pennies for the next Blog Girl get-together at Sir Stampalot next month. (Though I might just try & persuade Sally that we should go to Doncaster too, which is the week before!) Yes, thanks, the new term has started well, but having been back a week already, it now seems quite old! Good luck with getting enough cards made for your stall. They'll be a sell-out, I'm sure. xx

See what you mean about the 'Chocolat' Lisa, Lol! It's a gorgeous card and I love that paper.

I'm going round my fave blogs today apoligising for not commenting recently. It's mainly due to loads of hassle with Blogger not allowing me to comment and sometimes not even to get onto the blog. It suddenly seems to have righted itself this morning so I'm keeping my fingers crossed the frustration of nearly two weeks is over.

Wish I could have gone to the Harrogate show. I love it but I'm up there to go to a Wedding Fayre with my daugher this weekend so couldn't do two weekends in a row, Humph!!!!

Hugs
Lesley Xx

Hi Lisa - so pleased you had a great day at Harrogate - oooohhh, thanks for the mention. I still haven't got around to playing with my new goodies - dying to try out those Silkies.
With more cards like this little beauty, you should have a very successful day at the school fair - love the soft colours.
Hugs, Sylvia xxx
