Some Lovely New Stamps From Sheena Douglass

Afternoon lovely Crafters. Hasn't it been lovely to see the sunshine this weekend. I do hope it lasts.

I have been busy playing with some gorgeous new stamps from Sheena Douglass which she will be launching on Create and Craft on the 19th May and thought you might like a peek. I'm showing you a few today as I won't be around much in Blogland this week.

I hope that's wetted you appetite. They really are beautiful stamps to play with and very versatile as you can see. There are a lot of separate images that build up into any scenes your imagination can create. I've just coloured some with promarkers and of course the messy distress inks had an outing too.

If I get chance, I'll share some more with you later in the week.

Thanks for stopping by and welcome to my recent new Followers. You are all very welcome.

WOYWW 153

Morning lovely Crafters and dear WOYWW friends from a very sunny Yorkshire. It'll be raining by lunchtime I know but for now it's beautiful and I'm off out to play in my garden when I've finished on here.

Here's my desk this morning. Back to the dining table. Having been full of cold for the last week I haven't done much crafting but felt like scrapping and I need lots of space to spread out.

I've been inspired by a beautiful LO in the latest issue of Scrap 365 by Felicity Wilson. I just loved the soft colours she used and thought my new Seasonal Distress inks would be perfect to create a back ground. It's very much in the planning stage and I've still got to add a title and some journalling but will do that when it rains this afternoon!!!

If you haven't shared your desk yet, then it's time you did, so pop over to see our Desk Headmistress, Julia, HERE and join in all the fun.

Right, I off into the garden, but I'll be back to check out all your lovely desks later, or as many as I can manage. I'll be away from Blogland for a few days next week so will be absent from the next roll call but I hope you won't forget me. I will need your positive vibes!!!

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting.

Your Favourite Technique At The Stampman

Afternoon lovely Crafters. Another week gone and another month. I can't believe it's May already. What happened to April?????

I'm sitting here with the dreaded lurgy, trying desperately to get rid of it. We've got lots happening in the next couple of weeks and I CAN'T be ill, so cold begone!!!!

It's time for a new challenge over at The Stampman and this time Angela has asked us for our favourite technique. This was a hard one for me as I have so many and I'm afraid my DT project ended up being a bit of mish mash that I'm not entirely happy with but time ran out to do anything different.

I love this Paris stamp and was desperate to use it again and wanted to use some sprayed papers and then make my own background, which was on my desk in my WOYWW post. I've also just bought some Stampendous mica flakes and wanted to throw them in too so made the embossed panel at the side.

I like all the separate bits but I'm not sure I should've thrown them all at the same card. Trouble was my mind was so thick with cold I'd lost the will so here it is in all it's glory.

The DT have made some glorious things so don't forget to pop over to the Challenge Blog for a peek and if you fancy playing along with us Jill is offering a £10 Voucher for the winner to spend on The Stampman website.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the Bank Holiday weekend, whatever you are up too.

Shabby Blogs Problems

Just a quickie this morning.

I received an e-mail from a blogging buddy this morning saying she couldn't access my blog because I had a background from shabby blogs. It was throwing up a virus warning.

I have since changed my background but noticed that I am having similar problems with lots of the blogs I've tried to visit this morning so if you have a Shabby Blogs background it might be worth changing it.

I'll be back later with my DT project for the new Stampman challenge so see you then.

WOYWW 152

Morning lovely Crafters and dear WOYWW friends. Wednesday again. I know we all say it every week, but these WOYWW days seem to come round faster and faster. It's probably because there are so many desks to get round these days, it takes the whole week to see at least half of them, which I am very proud to say I nearly did, the first time ever. I really don't know how people visit everyone. Do you ever sleep????
If you haven't yet discovered this phenomenon and want to join in, then pop over to see the desk Headmistress, Julia, HERE.

Before we start, help yourself to a sweet. I see I'm not alone in my sours addiction.

Here is the bomb site that I laughingly call my desk this week.

I'm in the middle of making a background, which involves stamping lots of things, ripping them up and then gluing them back together. Sound technical enough for you???  This gluey mess is drying before it gets a coat of gesso. It will be beautiful in the end I promise.

As so many of you asked, here's one of the finished Flower Fairy cards from last week.

My big key also caught your attention. It came from the Italian Dolomites last year. Some people bring back postcards but I just loved this and it will always remind me of a wonderful day in the mountains. It says Passo Pordoi on it which is one of the highest passes we went over.

And lastly, I am trying to be brief, honest. Julia spotted my hidden stash of posh chocs.

These were from another holiday. This time in Austria in 2010. If any of you have been you'll know they have yummy Mozart chocolates which have marzipan inside. We always bring back several packs and this is the last one which I'm saving. Not sure what for yet though.

Right, I'm off to get a fresh cuppa and start some desk hopping. If I start now I might at least get part way through by next Wednesday.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting.

Shabby/Chic ATC

Afternoon lovely Crafters. Do you think we will ever have some nice Spring weather or will it rain forever!!!!!! I was hoping that the beautiful sunshine of yesterday would last but May has started with grey skies and more rain.

It's good for crafting though and with the new month brings a new theme for the ATC swap over at The Stampman. This time Janet is asking for yet more Shabby Chic. If you are interested all the details can be found HERE.

I still struggle with ATC's . I'm too used to having lots of space to play doing 12x12 scrapbook layouts but did manage to come up with something I was remotely happy with for my DT project.

I need to get more practise in ready for the ATC  swap on WOYWW!!!! Speaking of which, I will see you all tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping by.
