WOYWW 196

Morning lovely crafters and dear WOYWW friends. Another week has flown by and what a week it was. I'm delighted to report that we are all warm and toasty again in The Craft Garden. A sparkly new boiler is sitting in the corner making the house lovely and warm and we are certainly not going to take it for granted. A week without certainly makes a big difference. I've never got dressed or undressed so quickly in my life before and the weather wasn't even that cold thank goodness.

So, my desk this week.

After I'd taken the photo is struck me that I am working off my mat which is just covered in the clutter I'm making. Not sure what that is all about.

I'm in the middle of planning a project for a class on Thursday night. It's just a short one so I didn't want anything too complicated so came up with this little heart hanging.

So, short and sweet from me today, Julia doesn't like us to ramble on so for once I am obeying our leader. If you want to join in the workdesk fun then pop over to see her, HERE.

Before I finally go I thought I'd leave you with a smile. Not only did we have no central heating last week, on Friday the Gas Board arrived and dug holes up the entire road meaning no one could get in or out of their drives. It caused a great spectator sport when they all came home from work  to discover what had happened. Luckily, we were at home so could take action. They are replacing the pipes so on Saturday we had no gas at all!!!!! This is the view from my workdesk this morning.

Thanks for stopping by and I'll be round to see what you are up too later in the day when I get home from work.

Happy Crafting.

On wonderful. Now why couldn't they have done that while you were without a boiler? Your wall hanging is lovely. That looks a gimormous flower stamp you have there.

Ah Lisa, warmth at last, so glad for you. It's not an experience you wanna repeat is it!
I love that you end up working 'off mat', just shows that when you're in the swing, you just use whatever space is available, too busy to even push back! That big flower stamp is a great one isn't it.

Brrrrr I really pity you a week without your heating! I can't believe I grew up in a house with only a coal fire and Jack Frost drew his designs on the INSIDE of the bedroom windows. I couldn't cope now! Glad you are cosy again.
I LOVE the heart and the sentiment is fantastic. It's how I try, that's try...! to be in life.
Looking forward to your quilt TYTYTY! Please let me have your colour choice too as I want to make the little token in one go... big mess!
Love Jo x

Loving the colours on your desk this morning Lisa, what pretty papers and the finished heart looks amazing. Beautiful verse on it too.
I know exactly how you feel the gas board digging all those holes. I think they must be doing right across the country because we’ve had them our area for weeks now. Everywhere you go there’s traffic lights, holes and workmen getting in the way. Glad at least you’re warm again now though cos there’s nothing worse than trying to craft with chilly fingers……….sounds like something Mr Birdseye should sell, Lol.
Happy Crafting!

Hi Lisa, lovely to see you visit my desk this morning, thanks so much for joining me. I see you have a desk like mine, full of lots of bits and pieces and practically no space to do anything in LOL. Love your heart hanging, good luck with the class and I hope your pipes are all sorted now.

Oooh, wish I could have joined your class Lisa. This is lovely and I bet everyone had a smashing time making it. Glad you got your new boiler but what a nuisance that the timing with the new pipes was not co-ordinated.

Lisa,
Thank you so much for the Liebster award. It was most appreciated.
Great wall hanging. It is beautiful. I love that sentiment stamp, who is it by? I have one with a similar font, but shorter sentiment for create, memories etc.
I'm late visiting for WOYWW as was offline yesterday,
Have a good week

Woo hoo! TYTYTY I really am thrilled with your fab quilts and they are certainly up there with the rest so don't do yourself down! Lovely colours and fabrics too.
Grab a well deserved button for your side bar as a Super Star Stitcher,.... they are on a recent Lillybo post. email me your address and colour choice for an item you would wear. (A very small gesture of thanks from me, no arguments please!) Till soon,
lots of love Jo x
