WOYWW 396-Hello 2017

Afternoon dear WOYWW friends. A very Happy New Year to you all. Lets hope 2017 is going to be kind to us!!

I'm a bit late today but here never the less so....no desk today...busy taking down the decorations...but here's our desk yesterday.

My DD was still on holiday and had some GCSE art homework to do and was stuck for ideas so we kicked around some things together. Her theme is Masks so we had a play with my Brushos. She did her version and I did mine and we had a lot of fun crafting together. I asked her whether she thought her teacher would mark my version too, lol.

At the end of last year I stood down from my Design Team duties to concentrate on other things, one of them being to try and improve my painting skills. I have so much to learn but this is my first attempt.

I have decided to mix my painting attempts with my stamps as that is my real love and although the painting has a long way to go I quite like the mix. I think it's going to be an interesting journey and one I'm looking forward to spending time on.

Well, that's me this week, if you want to share your desk, then pop over to see the lovely Julia, HERE.

I hope the first Wednesday of the year has been a good one for you.

Happy Crafting!

Hi Lisa, happy new year! Great that you're already using DT time for something that you planned to do, and your daisy is lovely. Like you, I can't imagine my crafting without stamps, so I hope you enjoy your new journey!

Your flower is lovely and the masked lady is gorgeous. I love brushos though I actually don't use them as much now as I did when I was teaching, I used them for everything from colouring fabrics to painting on paper, they are so versatile. Thanks for the visit to mine and Happy New Year woyww, Angela x 18

Wow, Lisa! Your painting is stunning - I love it! I can see Freya has also inherited your artistic flair too. I can totally understand you wanting a change from DT stuff. I had an epiphany over Christmas that I could make a card using 3 different makes of stamps, lol! So refreshing :)

Love your daisy painting.. it's lovely!

I also love Brushos.. there is just something about their almost unpredictable chaos that really appeals to me... and spending time crafting with someone you love is almost as great as creation too.

Happy New Year

I think painting and stamping compliment each other so well. Your first attempt is quite lovely. I know a first attempt from me would look like a pre-schooler made it. Have fun playing! PJ #33

Happy New Year, Lisa. I just love that flower you have painted. Did you use brushos for the background? It is SO effective. Well done. Great fun having crafty sessions with our children, isn't it? I now have them with the grandchildren as well!
Take care. God bless.

That's really beautiful - another skill to add to your talents! DT work is great but it must be time consuming having always to produce stuff even if you didn't feel like it. I'm glad you'll have more time for you :-D
We have a moving date now of 23/24th January (we complete next Tues) so it's all systems go from now on!
Hugs, LLJ 15 xxxx

awesome work! I think spending time doing what you love is most important. My daughter and I craft together a lot and I was worried when she moved to California that would quit but we have found skyping works well for us. Happy New Year! Vickie #12
