WOYWW 296

Afternoon dear WOYWW friends. I'm a little late joining up today. I start work much earlier these days so don't always get the chance to join in before I go. It's still freezing here although not much snow but the sun's shining so here's my desk today looking a little bit brighter.

I saw an article in Craft Stamper this month by the very talented Kay Carley and wanted to have a go at something similar so have been colouring with my Spectrum Noir pencils. I find them so much more relaxing than pens, I don't know why that should be. I've also been playing with some JOFY stamps Santa brought me.

This is the finished topper, which will find it's way on to a card eventually.

I'm sorry I missed last week, it was my birthday so I got involved in other stuff and didn't realise I'd missed WOYWW until Thursday....must be an age thing!!!

Anyway, you might remember the last time I shared my desk I was using up old card kits and these are two of the cards that I ended up with.

So, that's me this week. If you want to share your desk too, then pop over to see the lovely Julia, HERE.

I'm off to make a fresh cuppa and then I'll be round to see what you've been up too.

Thank you for stopping by and Happy Crafting.

Well, the colouring you've done is so soft and pretty, that topper is lovely! And the cards you made out of old bits is just the same as me making bags out of stash :-) quite satisfying actually!!
Hope you had a lovely birthday last week and got spoiled rotten!
Hugs, LLJ 26 xx
PS forgot to say! I've just been to My local yarn shop and have bought some of that tinsel yarn in fuchsia pink and Cadburys purple!! I just couldn't resist :-) xx

I love the topper, and the cards are so pretty! It is freezing here too--and it might snow a little in the next few hours. Hopefully I'll be back in my crafty corner by then. Isn't coloring just relaxing? When I settle myself down and use my pencils or watercolors, I always feel so great. Thanks for the sweet visit! Sandy Leigh #61

Love what you have done with the pencils. So pretty! UK Craft Stamper is the only magazine I buy these days, but we are about two months behind. There is always something inspiring in every issue.
Thanks for dropping by earlier.

Hi Lisa, thanks for visiting my desk and belated happy birthday wishes. I just love the card you've coloured, JOFY stamps are fabulous (I don't have any :-( yet!!) I too am using up cardstock to make cards with very little stamping. Have fun, cheers RobynO#20

That is one elegant topper you've made there and pencils can be so relaxing I think it's the building of colours you can do with them. Happy Belated Birthday too. Congrats on using the old card kits up hugs Nikki 14

Happy birthday for last week Lisa! I've only managed to catch a couple of articles in my CS mag so far but Kay's was one of them. Love how you've run with it!

Your other two cards are lovely too. I really should use some of the stuff I've got from magazines but usually end up giving kits away.

Hugs
Lesley Xx

Happy belated birthday. I do hope you were spoiled by the family. Gorgeous cards and love how those new stamps have come together on the topper. I am using pencils more and more these days, never got into the markers. Although I do admire the colouring some crafters can achieve. Gum trees are a tough plant so not surprised it is shooting from the base. Have a lovely week.

I just can't do colouring that looks nice... always a bit childish in comparison to everyone else's lovely work... your cards are lovely and even more satisfying that they are stash bashing into the bargain!! Annette 51
