WOYWW 213

Morning lovely crafters and dear WOYWW friends. Although I haven't much on my desk, Mr Mojo has packed his suitcase at the minute and gone on his holidays, I couldn't miss the opportunity to catch up with you all.

I thought how lovely it would be now that I have no crafting commitments for a while to craft just for myself so started a scrapbook page with some gorgeous new papers I treated myself too. I've messed around with it for 3 days and have got absolutely nowhere. Just goes to show that working under pressure gets creativity flowing I think.

I got so fed up with it that I retreated to the garden and the beautiful sunshine yesterday. So as that's as much of a work desk this week here's a little piccy. It's all a bit of a jungle and things are growing faster that I can get to them but I like it like that. I'm only showing you the tidy bit though!!!

I mentioned last time that I made a scrapbook in a tin for my dear MIL's birthday last week. Although the inside was personal to her this is what I did on the front. I used alcohol inks on the tin itself and then made some flowers from some scraps of sprayed paper.

Short and sweet I'm afraid this week as I'm flying out the door to work but I'll be round later to have a nosey so get the kettle on.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting.

Hi Lisa, I think the sunshine draws us all outside to enjoy our gardens [that is when we see any :-) ]. You have a pretty garden so enjoy every minute of it while you can. Love the little scrap book cover :-)

Your craft results are amazing considering you say that your mojo has gone awol!!! Super stuff.
I love your garden, very country cottage and certainly NOT jungle!

All the family are well thanks so much and the Sept arrival is getting bigger than it should be so the due date keeps getting earlier as a result. It was originally Oct!

I love the idea of a scrapbook in a tin! I'm planning ahead (in my mind) to do my wedding scrapbook. When I got married in 1989, I never did anything really fabulous for a wedding album. Well now, who wants a wedding album? I want a wedding a scrapbook! So that will be the next actual scrapbooking I do probably. You must show us how your scrapbook page goes. Happy WOYWW! Beautiful mini book and your garden looks glorious. I'm afraid mine is a riot of weeds instead of colour! Hugs. Pam#28

Hi Lisa, isn't just the way of things - you have some time to yourself and Mr Mojo goes walkabout. You did the best thing though - your garden looks a real treat with all that lush growth and bright colours in the flowers, perfect! The tin is gorgeous - love those flowers. Unfortunately, I missed Sheena's shows last week - we had TV in the Highlands, it just didn't pick up C&C ... yes, a whole week without craft TV - how did I survive!!! Your samples are gorgeous - love the Scandinavian stamps and the sentiments are super, just a bit different. Just what you would expect from Sheena :) Hope you've had a good WOYWW, Elizabeth x #72

Hi Lisa, your garden is looking great, and I know what you mean about things growing so fast - I hadn't been out over the weekend with all the rain we had and was amazed to see the explosion of growth yesterday. Your MIL's tin is beautiful on the outside so I imagine that it is equally so inside. Thanks for your visit, have a happy week. MMx #56

Hi Lisa. Hope you have managed to get the scrapbook page together - I hate it when the mojo disappears! The tidy bit of the your garden is looking really pretty with all those flowers. My garden is producing some lovely broad beans at the moment and some strawberries, lots of other fruit to follow!!

I am back from all my holidays now - there are a few piccies on my blog - back to sorting out the front garden, hedge cutting etc !!

Hope you are all well, even if you are busy!

I love your garden! It's beautiful and not at all jungle like! The weeds are taller than my peony in my garden at the moment...sigh. There's just been too many other things to do recently. Ah well, it's green when you look out of the window, so that's the main thing!
I wouldn't worry about crafting at all...give yourself a week off. Do other stuff, then when you're really missing paints etc, that's when you know it's time to go back. I do that with fabric all the time!
Hugs, LLJ 31 xx

Mr. Mojos seem to do that... go on vacation all of a sudden without a warning I mean. With a garden like yours, I wouldn't mind... I'm sure he will be back in no-time too! In the meantime: smell the flowers! Happy ~ belated ~ woyww and a hug from Holland. Marit #91

I love your garden! I also love the way your page is coming together but I think you did tight to walk away for a bit, it helps when you go back doesn't it?

I think we do get used to a certain routine, whether it is heavy-duty DT pressures or laid-back just-for-fun crafting, so it's good that you can be relaxed about it and step out to do some gardening while your creative juices adjust to the new level of activity. You have too much talent, Lisa, for Mr. Mojo to EVER pack up and leave; that's just nonsense!

The tin you made your MIL and the sweet flowers are just stunning! What a treasure! The garden is pure, pure joy! Well done!!

Enjoy the week and thanks for coming by to see me! Happy WOYWW! Darnell #32

Your garden looks fantastic. I'm amazed how well the geraniums I brought with me have done here this year. Heavy clay but the soil must be so rich. They are enormous. The tin you made for your MIL is lovely. Those flowers are fab.
