WOYWW 197

Morning lovely crafters and dear WOYWW friends. Here we are again at the middle of another week and just when you thought Spring was round the corner we are plunged back into Winter. Boy has it been cold but we have escaped the worse of the snow here in Yorkshire with just a sprinkle every now and again and beautiful sunshine most of the time so I'm not complaining. It's been gorgeous in my craft room with the sun shining through the window.

This is my desk as of yesterday afternoon. It hasn't changed since and yes that jar now contains turquoise water this week. It's still there, I'm terrible at changing my painting water.

.Mr Mojo has decided to take a bit of a holiday and I've been feeling a bit stalled creativity wise just lately so I thought I'd get out some old favourite stamps and have a play. I made a card and was happy with how it turned out so decided to make a few more so those are the backgrounds drying in the sunshine. I used Cosmic Shimmer watercolours  as I love the soft colours I have in those.

Here is the finished card.

and I'll make up the others this afternoon. They give me a good supply for birthdays later on in the year.

Short and sweet this week, just as Julia likes it. If you want to share your desk with lots of creative and very friendly folk, then pop over to see our Desk Headmistress, HERE.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your Wednesday whatever you are up too.

Happy Crafting.

Isn't it funny how even when Mr Mojo goes on holidays we can still get creative with our old favourites? :-) Fab card.

You've still managed to be creative with great results. Lovely card! Mr Mojo is still there but lurking!
So sorry it has taken a few days to post pics of your quilts, it should be on later today. I've been crazy busy and also had to catch up with those in hand as I blog them in order of receipt.
Off to Germany next week, woo hoo! Can't wait to see them then the Brighton Belles invade a couple of days after I get home for the Easter hols. Couple of days after they leave I go to Holland to dem at the Art Specially Show , Yeah!

Great card! You're brave, if I had a jar of water on my desk I'd constantly knock it over! My desk is bare today, went to footy last night so very little will be done today and a bare desk is a bit boring! Take care Zo xx

what a really pretty card so glad Mr Mojo came out to play and let you make that. It is hard when he goes on holiday but as you found we only have to get something out, like your stamps and he is back again

It is so hard when our creativity stalls out--but you are right in that getting out some stamps or paint is just the thing to help bring back the muse. Your card is so pretty too! I can't believe you guys still have snow--it is only 44 degrees here today, but the warmup is supposed to start tomorrow. I am so done with winter! Happy WOYWW! Sandy Leigh #20

Oooh gorgeous subtle backgrounds, Lisa! Love what you are doing. Everyone's creativity is making me green with envy as I can't do anything till I get settled in my new ARTHaven.

Thanks for your lovely comment. So far all is going well with the preparations for the move but there's a huge amount to think about and to do. My sister has been amazing, and soon she will take Mum so that we can complete the final packing up of her house, and she will come down to us once the new house is ready. I'm so looking forward to settling in, and especially to my new ARTHaven and new kitchen! It is all going to be such fun.

My major problem seems to be trying to get my hubby not to overdo things lol! His back is quite bad again, and I told him I hadn't got a lot of sympathy to waste on him, and to remember that he is no longer 30!!!

Happy WOYWW,

Beautiful backgrounds on your desk and a lovely card, so delicate. Cold this side of the Pennines as well but two very sunny mornings - think it will be a greyer day tomorrow.
Thanks for visiting already, much appreciated.

It's beautiful, Lisa! I love it. Those shimmery backgrounds are fabulous. I tried the shimmery background over emulsion paint too (a la Sheena) and am wondering what to do with the two little bits I have left!
