WOYWW 178

Morning lovely Crafters and dear WOYWW friends. I hope all my WOYWW friends living in those parts of The States effected by this awful storm are safe and dry. My thoughts are with you all, we have been watching it all unfold on the news here  in the UK.

I seem to be a part time WOYWWer at the minute, not sure how that is happening. I think the weeks are just going by far too quickly for me to keep up. Anyway, it's half term in The Craft Garden this week so we have been out an about but I have been managing to catch up with a bit of scrapbooking in the afternoons which is what you can see on my desk at the unearthly hour on a Wednesday morning when this photo was taken.

Even though I am allowed to sleep in this week I have still been getting up with DH at 6am!!! Yes, that is himself on the LO in progress, taken on the only wet day we had during our Austrian holidays this year. He must be the only person to still wear sunglasses when it is absolutely pouring down!!

I liked the skeleton clock faces that were everywhere in this months Scrap 365 magazine so have cut out my own from a cereal packet and then crackle painted it. Time consuming but I'm pleased with the results. I also broke out the sewing machine for the first time in years and have stitched the border.

If you want to join in this mass desk hop that is WOYWW then pop over to see our Desk Headmistress, Julia, HERE.

Just before I go I thought I'd just leave you with a photo I took on our walk round our local reservoir last Saturday when the sun shone and the Autumn colours were glorious.

Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you at a desk near you very soon.

Have a great Wednesday.

That clock face is amazing - I'm am impressed by your skill - and most of all your patience. Fab 'autumn' photo from the weekend. Trouble with autumn is all the leaves I have to keep raking and sweeping - not like living in the countryside anymore where it all seemed to take care of itself.

Looks like the beginning of a lovely LO and I can't believe you cut out the clock face. I am impressed. last time I was in Austria I was knee deep in snow. Good to see you needed sunglasses this time. Love the pic of the reservoir.

Gorgeous photo of your walk, isn't autumn a lovely season? Well, without the mess our garden is in with all the leaves. I really should take a photo of the task that is ahead of us.
The LO you are doing is looking great, love how you matched the blues up to DH's hood.
Thanks for sharing - Hugs, Neet 23 xx

I've got a thing about those clock faces too - in fact, I'd quite like a big one for my wall. They're all in the shops aren't they, these big station/vintage French wall clocks? Love 'em!! And you must have a LOT of patience!!!
Hope that your DH's commute is going ok - work too :)

I'm sat reading my WOYWW blogs on my sick bed this week but have my mask on so you don't catch anything. I'm enjoying reading what everyone is up to this week [it's better than reading magazines :-) ]. I'm leaving a copied comment so you know I've called by because my hands are too weak and shaky to keep typing out my comments this week.
Big hugs,

Brilliant job with the clock face- I must admit I cheated, and bought some pre-cut ones on e-bay, lol. Didn't think I'd use them enough to justify buying the die, bout I got ( I think) 10 for about £2, so I was okay with that.Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #86

Hi Lisa, you certainly had some good weather for your outdoor photo, beautiful reflections. Love your LO, that clock face is really great! Hope you aren't having too much rain - seems to be raining a lot here at the moment! Jill x

That photo is well worth using in a future card or layout. Thank you for your visit today. We did have summer. It was the last week in May, and a second bit came at the beginning of September for a few days. Hope you manage to get all the cards done that you need. xx Maggie #42

Great looking layout in progress! I think you have a lot of patience cutting that out by hand! I have a die if you would like me to send you some cutouts let me know. I don't know how they can see with their sunglasses on during a downpour but my husband wears them too! Thanks for sharing and dropping by my blog! Have a great week! Vickie #37

Yes Lisa, Broomstick flying test pass with ‘flying’ colours but I’m still picking out the splinters after the emergency stop, Lol!

Loving your LO in progress and what dedication to cut the clock face yourself. You’ve done an amazing job, it’s so good I thought it was a brought one when I first saw it.

Happy Crafting!

That's a great layout coming together, Lisa, and I agree with the others - I like the clock! I've cut something similar on my cutting machine and then grunged it up with distress crackle paint and distress embossing powder - nice and rough and rusty! With all the wonderful materials at our disposal today, it's amazing the effects we can get, isn't it, with a bit of imagination.

Love your reservoir photo too - that's beautiful.

Thanks for your lovely comment, and I'm glad you like what I've been up to this week! I'm still wondering what I can knit with old cassette tape lol! It wouldn't be nice to wear, I don't think.

Happy belated WOYWW,

That is an amazing LO ....what skill you have in the cutting department. Had to smile over the sunglasses ...it was freezing yesterday but the sun was so strong so I went shopping with them on ....felt a little silly in the shop when I forgot to take them off. xx#101

Hi Lisa

Hope you had a good half term. You sound just like me .. .. I get up with hubby at "daft o'clock" .. .. but it is lovely to see a new day breaking don't you think.

Your desk looks interesting as always but I can't believe you have the patience to cut out a clock face from a cereal packet. I would have lost the will by the time I had reached number III LOL!!!

Great photograph too Lisa.

Have a good week.

Love Jules xx
