Afternoon lovely Crafters. I hope you have all been enjoying this lovely Autumn weather we've been having today, although it's turned very chilly, I had to scrap the car windscreen this morning.
Some of you may have noticed I have been taking a break from The Stampman DT over the Summer. Unfortunately, with all that's been going on in The Craft Garden I just didn't have enough time and Jill very kindly let me take a break. While I've been away, things have changed on the challenge blog and Jill is now setting monthly challenges on her own blog.
This month she is asking you to think Butterflies and all things that Flutter and you can find the full details and where to post your entries, HERE.
This is the project I came up with this month.
You may have already spotted the background in progress on my WOYWW post. Well, this is what it turned into. I stamped the script in Chipped Sapphire and then brushed mica powder over it, which was one of the articles in this months Craft Stamper. I think this may well become a favourite technique, I love the results.
I also distressed some masking tape and added mica powder for the border.
Full details of the challenge rules and the prizes on offer can be found on The Stampman Blog as well as the amazing projects the rest of the DT have created. Jill will be releasing them gradually thoughout the month to keep you inpsired so we hope you'll join in. We love looking at your beautiful creations.
Thanks for stopping by.

I love your cards because they are so individual with their bespoke backgrounds. Great placement on this too x
Hi Lisa
Thanks for the comment on my blog, yes I had a wonderful time and got some great photos - aren't those trees wonderful?
Mmm.... I love that background and thanks for pointing me in the right direction for the challenge - REALLY hoping I can get back to it, now that there isn't so much to do in the garden!
It's chilly.ish here - but it's been raining all day.
Take care
Jill x
Long time no visit Lisa, been a few things going on, life has a habit of getting in the way sometimes.
But I couldn't miss out on the opportunity to come and look your gorgeous butterflies with what looks like my favourite TH stamp set.

OOoooh Lisa - LOVE the inky colouring - the butterflies look as if they have a light source behind them, which really makes them "pop". Fabulous colour combination, and the mica gives a wonderful sheen.
Have a happy week - hugs, Sylvia xxx

Wow! Stunning work, Lisa! That background is absolutely gorgeous, I love the colours, and the butterflies of course. Must try the distressed masking tape, it looks great. Hope your week's going well.

I have to say, your finished card looks amazing hun!
It doesn’t look like the same background you were making last week, now you have the butterflies over the top of it and it looks very lush with its lustre finish…..absolutely beautiful.
Happy Crafting!

Hi Lisa, this is just gorgeous. Love the butterflies and that flower is a beauty too. After seeing your blue and brown mix background, I've pinched it and I was chuffed with the result - can't show it yet but will do a post as soon as I can so you can cast your expert eye over it :) As with you, the technique has become one of my favourites. Hugs, Elizabeth xx
Hi Lisa. This is a stunning creation to announce your return to the DT. It's gorgeous and I love the techniques you have used. I haven't had time to do more than flick through my CS so far but will have to look these up now because your results are so fabulous.
I'm a few days behind your post but it's very nippy here too. No frosts as yet though but we had some really heavy rain last night and we still have heavy drizzle as I type. Looks like I'll be walking the dog in the rain at this rate, lol!
Hugs
