WOYWW 417

Morning lovely WOYWW friends from a very sunny Yorkshire this morning. I have washing out and intend to get out there myself after I have shared my desk with you lovely lot.

I have things drying on it this morning. I have been asked to make a Golden Wedding card by a friend so thought I'd make an exploding box, I haven't made one of those for years and always enjoy them although there is a lot of measuring and cutting out, not my strong point. There's also a bookmark card in progress, a project for Craft Club next month and a new set of dies I picked up at The Works. They are such a good price and this one is all foliage so I know it'll get lots of use, it already has!!

Here's a close up of the box so far. I have the sentiment panels to put on the sides but the hard work is done. I hope she likes it.

Like the rest of the country, we had amazing weather at the end of last week and not much of anything was done except sitting out and enjoying it.

Here's a peek at summer in The Craft Garden.

Thank you so much for the ATC's that have arrived so far from Margaret, Shaz, Jo and Annie. It's been such a joy to receive little envelopes of happiness.

Well, that's me this week, if you want to join in with our weekly desk hop, then pop over to see the lovely Julia, HERE.

I am looking forward to coming by to see what you've all been up to so enjoy your Wednesday and Happy Crafting!

WOYWW 416

Good Morning gentle deskers on a sunny morning here in Yorkshire. Happy 8th Anniversary to you all and especially Julia for keeping us all in order for so many years. The world would be an even darker place if we didn't have the lovely friendships that have been built from the simple pleasure of sharing a craft desk.

Nothing at all on my desk today

The weather has been so lovely I've been outside rather than crafting and after the tragic events of Monday night, I haven't been in the right frame of mind. It's been all too close to home. We have people missing from town and still no news and having a teenage daughter myself, I just can't bear what has happened. It's so so sad. All my love and prayers are with everyone in this part of the world.

To remind us that there is still beauty in the world I wanted to share my other desk with you today, my outside desk. Lots in the greenhouse waiting to be planted out.

The garden is looking lush and green.

This gorgeous rose has been flowering for a couple of weeks now and it smells wonderful.

If you want to join in with the lovely world of WOYWW, then pop over to see Julia. HERE.

I am joining in with the ATC swap and have mine ready to go. I do have a few spare so if anyone would like to swap, please drop me an email, lisamello@sky.com. *sorry to those who tried to email, I put a rougue dot in the address, must have been half asleep when I typed this!!

Enjoy you Wednesday, whatever you are up too.

WOYWW 415

Morning lovely WOYWW friends. It's a wet day here today in Yorkshire which the garden is very grateful for. I've been watering the pots for weeks now, I can't remember having to do it so early before.

I took the photo of my desk yesterday evening, hence the sunshine.

I thought I'd give you a slightly different angle to share a bit more of the chaos as there's not much happening on the actual desk. A bit more card making and some ATC's hiding away from WOYWW eyes!!!!

I have been busy elsewhere though. This is especially for LLJ. Look what I've bought!!!!!!

I thought it was time to be a grown up and stop relying on my Mum to alter and take up my clothes and I can also use it on my paper crafting so it's a win win all round. It's only a very basic model but I wouldn't be able to cope with anything more complicated, lol.

And for my lovely friend Sandra, who paints the most exquisite flowers, I thought you'd like this tulip I photographed in my garden. It's such a delicate shade of pink, more like a rose than a tulip. I love it.

Well, that's me this week, we are a revision household at the moment, GSCE's and all that, so I shall be round very quietly to see what you've all been up too.

If you want to join in with the WOYWW desk hop, then pop over to see the lovely Julia, HERE.

Thank you for stopping by and enjoy your Wednesday.

Happy Crafting!

WOYWW 413

Morning dear WOYWW friends from a beautiful, sunny Yorkshire this Wednesday morning. I've had my breakfast outside and got my bedding on the line so now it's time to sit down and catch up with you lovely lot.

Here's my desk this morning.

I finished a scrapbook page last night and left it to dry over night. I've scrapbooked for years but have recently discovered Gabrielle Pollocco's utube tutorials and have learnt so many different things to try, it's really kick started my mojo again. There are also some new stamps waiting to be played with. I'm hoping to use them in my art journalling. which was my plan for today but while the sun's shining I'll be outside!!

Here's a close up of my scrapbook page.

And also one of the cards I was making last week.

Well, that's me this week. If you want to share your desk with us, then pop over to see the lovely Julia HERE.

Have a lovely day and thanks for popping by.

Happy Crafting!!

WOYWW 412

Morning dear WOYWW friends. Another week has flown by so here is my desk this morning.

Thought I'd give you a large view this morning so you can see the mess I work in!!

I'm making some cards using up some papers DD had and was getting rid of during a recent clear out as they are too young for her now. I rescued them as I thought they'd make great children's cards. Two 6x6 sheets have made 4 cards so that's stocked my box up a bit.

It's embarrassing the amount of stuff that is all over the place. I don't notice it when I'm busy, but stopping to look at it now makes me cringe. At least the important things are there, like a cup of tea and my music!!

Well, that's me today, if you want to share your crafty space with us on WOYWW then pop over to see the lovely Julia, HERE.

Have a great Wednesday and Happy Crafting!!

WOYWW 411

Morning dear WOYWW friends. It's that lovely time of week when it's time to catch up with desk friends old and new. I hope find you well this morning. It's a dry start here in Yorkshire, but not as sunny as yesterday.

Here's my desk today.

I am in the middle of organising a project for my May craft club. It's going to be a Neverending Card. The first time I tried it I needed a bit of help from my other half  with the folding, I just couldn't get my head round the instructions, but having done it once, it's easy and the result is great fun. I've really enjoyed decorating it. I hope my ladies enjoy it as much.

Here's the front and one of the insides so far.

We have been so lucky with the weather over the Easter holidays, we are all back at school, and work now but made the most of our time off.

Last weekend we had a lovely day out at Malham Cove which is a local beauty spot. The weather was stunning and so was the scenery.

Well, that's me this week, if you want to join in with the weekly desk hope called WOYWW, then pop over to see Julia HERE.

Thanks for popping by and Happy Crafting!!

WOYWW 409

Morning deskers. I hope I find you well this Wednesday.  We are now on our Easter Hols and the weather has been lovely so not a lot of crafting has been happening, we've been out and about and in the garden but here's my dining table desk this morning.

I have been doing a bit of scrapbooking, working my way through the mountains of photos we have and really enjoying it. I decided to move downstairs so as not to be antisocial when the family are around.

The funny thing is I was listening to country music the other evening and noticed the paper I'm using has cowboy boots on it, must have been some subliminal messages going on in my brain.

Well, that's me, short and sweet this week. I'm looking forward to seeing what you've all been up too.

If you want to join in with this desk hop, then pop over to see Julia at WOYWW headquarters, HERE.

Have a great day and Happy Crafting!

WOYWW 408

Morning lovely WOYWW friends. Here we are at Wednesday again, where do the weeks go? It's a bit of a damp one here in Yorkshire this morning but after the gorgeous weekend, I'm not complaining. I hope any WOYWWer's who are in Queensland have come through that awful storm safe and sound.

Here's my desk this morning.

A bit of a mess after a crafting session yesterday. I just finished and walked away, which is unusual for me as I like to tidy up between projects. I guess that'll be the first job today. I was asked to make a leaving card for a lady at work and was just finishing it off with some ink and gilding wax last night, listening to some music. I escape for an hour every evening while my other half has his daily dose of Star Trek after tea!!

This is the finished card

I found so many half done things during my recent craft room spring clean and am determined to finish some of them now I have a bit more time. This was the first one that finally got completed last weekend. A little felt cushion I did as a Craft Club project last year. It now sits on our bed, a much better place than in bits in a drawer. One down, many more to go!!

Well, that's me this week. If you want to share your desk with us, then pop over to see Julia at WOYWW Headquarters, HERE.

Enjoy your Wedensday and Happy Crafting!

WOYWW 407

Morning lovely WOYWWers from a chilly Yorkshire this morning. What happened to Spring? We had four seasons in one day yesterday, snow, hail, wind and brilliant sunshine!!!

Anyway, it's just grey and cold this morning so here's my desk.

I am in the middle of making Easter cards. Nor something I used to do but after someone pointed out that although I don't send them, plenty do, it's now one of my busiest times. I sold all the ones I've made up to now and have an order for 4 more so it's keeping me busy. As you can see lots of cutting out happening.

Here's one I made yesterday.

Along with my Mother's Day cards

I had a snazzy new camera for Christmas and have had little chance to try it out so I took it in the garden yesterday when the sun was out to capture the cheerful colour that is appearing.

The happy Tete a Tete daffodils nodding their heads in the wind.

My white Camellia for once unblemished by frost and turning brown. It was looking lovely but that might not be the case after the cold night we've just had.

Tibby was keeping a eye on what I was up too and enjoying the fresh air.

Well, that's me this week. If you want to share your crafty desk with us, then pop over to see Julia at WOYWW headquarters HERE.

I have a morning of appointments with my Mum so hopefully will be round to see what you've been up to this afternoon.

Have a great Wednesday and Happy Crafting!

WOYWW 406

Morning dear WOYWW friends. I hope I find you well this Wednesday. It's a lovely morning here in Yorkshire. Spring is definitely in the air.

Here's my desk this morning.

At last I have managed to do a bit of something crafty. I have long wanted to have a go at art journalling and saw many pages being created on your desks last week so it kick started me into having a go. It's definitely a work in progress but it's been fun learning what works and what doesn't. I have done a double page and like one side but not the other, but hey, that's the whole point of playing isn't it?

Someone asked last week what the green jar is on my desk. It's my water jar that has had powertex put on it and then painted.

Well, that's me this week. If you want to join in with our WOYWW desk hop, then pop over to see Julia, HERE.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting!
