WOYWW 441

Morning dear WOYWW friends. These Wednesdays come round alarmingly quickly don't they?

I have two desks on the go this week.

Here's my usual one

You all put me to shame with your Christmas activities so I actually managed to start my cards last week. This is a first for me, I usual end up doing them at the last minute but am trying to be organised this year and a bit ahead of the game if I can. I'm keeping them simple, but am not sharing them yet as they are still a WIP.

Here's my other desk, the dining table.

More Christmas activity. I'm making some mini scrapbooks for Christmas presents. It's a long tome since I've done this kind of thing and am really enjoying the process. I have so many paper pads that it's nice to actually be using some of them.

There's also 2 boxes of new nail varnish that the Avon man has just delivered!!

I was having a mooch around u-tube the other day and came across some brilliant tutorials from Stamperia and thought I'd have a go at one of them.

This is the result.

The tutorial used an image printed onto rice paper and then painted in, which I didn't have so I hand drew my figure. The texture paste was very forgiving so I think I got away with it. I love all the texture and also the colours which are very different for me. I added some lace onto her dress and lots of glitter and stamped and cut out all the butterflies. They were stencilled on the original but I didn't have one.

Well that's me this week, If you want to share your desk with us then pop over to see Julia at WOYWW headquarters.

Enjoy your Wednesday whatever you are up to and Happy Crafting!

Oh Lisa, your tutorial watching paid off. That is a beautiful result. Amazon has rice paper and really cheap stencils..I've loved the ones I just received. My days fly by quickly and I've started a list for cards as so many birthdays coming my way. Mini scrapbooks will be good gifts, I want to do 1 journal, I'm fascinated with youtube on them. Enjoy a great week.

Lots of lovely crafty things going on at your place this week! Keeping things simple sounds like a good plan, I need to do that too as the calendar is just mental for the next six weeks. I want to see your nail varnish - are they Christmas colours?

Happy WOYWW. Well done for starting on your Christmas crafting. I was going to make some little photo books up for family - but I am severely lacking in energy and inspiration, so going to get some printed professionally instead. I could spend all day watching YouTube. Your project is amazing. Is it it on a canvas? Ali x #22

Wow two very busy desks, my Hubby commented on the messiness of my dest the other day and I said the funny thing is when it is messy I can find things easier than when it is tidy??!!
Love the creation made from the tutorial, pretty stunning.
The birthday card uses stunning colours too.

Hi Lisa, that's funny as I took over the dining table this week. The way I look at it if there is something not being used then it's there for the taking Lol! Look forward to seeing your cards. Have a great creative week, Angela x11x
