WOYWW 373

Morning lovely WOYWW friends. I hope I find you well this Wednesday. It feels great to be visiting Julia again to link up, not that it wasn't a pleasure to visit Jan too. If you want to join in with this global desk hop then pop over to see Julia, HERE.

I'm afraid my desk is a bit bare today. It was far too hot to do any crafting last week and it was Mum's 80th Birthday on Thursday so we were out and about at the weekend. Hopefully I'll get some crafting done later today. I've got a list of jobs that need doing pegged to my ink holder and not many of them have been crossed off yet!!

The postie brought a lovely bit of Happy post the other day. Elizabeth kindly sent me a lovely card and some pink Aquilegia seeds after I admired a photo she posted on Facebook a few months ago. I shall enjoy growing them and will always think of her when they flower.

I haven't any craftiness to share with you but my daughter's class had a go at henna painting on each other in the last week of term and she came home delighted with what her friend had done for her.

And just to show you I haven't been completely lazy over the last few weeks, here's how the garden's looking at the moment. I love this time of year when the roses are all at their best.

Well, that's me today. I shall be round to see what you've all been up to as soon as I've made a cup of tea.

Enjoy your Wednesday and Happy Crafting!

Know what you mean about having been too busy to do much crafting, since you've already (kindly) visited my blog you will also know why I've had the same issues!!!

Lovely desk and pix - never had henna painting, how long does it last?

Here was the same, too good weather to stay inside, so sometimes our desks stay bare but that in fact doesn't mean we are not doing anything, like you and your gardening. Thank you for your visit and have a nice day, Vicky

The henna painting is lovely. Takes me back about 30 years to a wedding I was lucky enough to attend while in India. Thanks for stopping by earlier.

I'm with you there. The lovely weather has seen me sat out on my lounger reading. Beats resting on my bed. I've not been so good so the warm weather has allowed me to get out of the house if only into my yard!! Lovely garden pics. Take care Zo xx 27

Hi Lisa, you say the nicest things my friend. It was very sticky last week but has cooled down a little now so we may be able to get on with some more crafting again though it has been nice being able to get outside more and the garden looks lovely. The card from Elizabeth is beautiful and so is the Henna pattern. Have a lovely woyww and thanks for the visit to mine, Angela x 14

What an interesting post, Lisa! I don't think we've ever seen henna painting on WOYWW before! Your garden is stunning - a real blaze of colour with all those fabulous roses. I hope your mum had a very happy 80th birthday, which I am sure she did, with you to spoil her and give her a lovely weekend. How lovely to be sent some seeds for the garden, too! Thank you for your lovely comment, and I'm glad you enjoyed the latest photos of our garden. I was surprised that the sweet peas got a second lease of life and they are now flowering even more prolifically than before. Where we are in Torquay is extremely mild, and we are always ahead of the rest of the country with growing stuff, especially as far north as you are. We can leave our geraniums out all through the winter! As for what's on my desk, all will be revealed in due course so "watch this space" as they say!!

I'm waiting for a friend to arrive so I'm doing a little catch up and it is so good to see your lovelies on your blog and I have missed all the lovely people (like you) too.
Life has been busy and I only do what I want to do, nowadays and what I can manage health-wise, which is mainly quilting but I do enjoy seeing all the trends in paper crafting. You make some beauties and I am happy to see how well you are doing.
I love F's henna art, my DD does it so much that she had one of her designs made into a permanent tattoo! It's just on her ring finger.
Congratulations to your dear Mum! I hope she is keeping well.
Lots of love Jo x

Thank you so much for your lovely message and congrats for our Golden Day. BTW my elder DD will be married in September, amazingly after 12 years together, 2 children and aged 45 they are finally going to tie the know in Brighton. The best part for me is that all my family for once will be together as the German side is coming over for it and we have never all been together since DD2 had our little grandson. Woo hoo! What an occasion.

Wow, your garden is looking so beautiful. I am sure those seeds will be wonderful when they are planted. No time for woyww this week but I hope to be a bit more creative next week. Your daughter is definitely following in your creative footsteps.
