WOYWW 200!!

Morning lovely Crafters and dear WOYWW friends. I hope I find you well this lovely sunny morning and full of chocolate after the Easter Holidays.

It feels like a momentous week at WOYWW with the 200th edition. If you want to join in and enjoy hopping around lots of inspirational desks, then pop over to see our lovely Desk Headmistress, Julia, HERE.

My desk this week.

I am still crafting on the dining table as I like to be amongst everything while everyone is on holiday and I'm still playing with the Pebeo paints and paint fusion stamps. I blame my good friend Hettie for all this painty activity. She has just got these paints and stamps and we have been chatting about them and it made me want to play again and now I can't stop. I'm making some hangers instead of cards for some special birthdays coming up.

The best thing about my desk this week is the mug of tea!!!!!! Thanks for all your kind wishes last week. I am feeling much better now.

You might also be able to spot the corner of the canvas I was working on last week. I've fiddled for days but am now happy that it's finished. What do you think?

I painted the background with acrylic paint and sponged some blue and white paint in the corners. Added some texture paste through a stencil on the other corners, sprayed with mica powders and stamped with distress inks before painting the lilacs and adding the words.

It's hard to know when to stop but I found propping it up on the light and living with it for a while was the best way.

Right, I have some washing to peg out, what a great sentence that is at last, so I'll be back later to see what you've all be up too.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Wednesday.

Hi Lisa. That canvas is really beautiful. Just love the image. Never used mica.

Glad that the weather is obviously a bit better your way this week. It's cool here and very windy but we have got sun!

Oh Wow! That is a beautiful piece! I hope I get results like that soon! That stamp is the whole reason I pressed "go" on my puter and bought them. The texture paste on yours is wonderful too and what a great way to use it!
Feel free to blame me at any time!

PS - isn't it funny how we LIKE to hang washing out!! Bet we never thought we would be saying that in years gone by!!

Wow, I love that lilac canvas, that's so clever, everything works well...yu must be very pleased with that! And the triple heart hanging is gorgeous as well..I especially love the sentiment, cos I really LOVE my home. It's nothing flash but it's all mine. I love my tree in the garden and the fact that red kites are a common sight , there's a pair that lives not too far away. I see them as....wait for it......I've been hanging out my washing too!! Yippee!! A simple pleasure but satisfying nevertheless.
Hettie was saying you might still be coming to the crop...yay if you are! I'd be very excited :)
Hugs, LLJ 36 xx
Ps it's been a hard couple of days down at dad's but we are getting there.....

A very creative desk, Lisa, and your canvas is stunning. I love Pebeo paints too though - for backgrounds - I don't use them to paint flowers like you do. And seeing that cuppa has made me thirsty :) Hope you are having a wonderful weekend. Elizabeth x #95
