Just Dropping By

Afternoon lovely Crafting friends. I'm just dropping in to say hello. I have been such a poor blogger lately, there seems to be so little time to fit everything in so blogging tends to fall by the wayside for which I apologise.

Anyway, I have a card to share with you today which is not festive in anyway, I'm still struggling away with those. I made this card some time ago for a challenge and it got over looked so I thought I'd just share it with my lovely friends instead.

It has lots of different embossing on it and the butterfly has been cut out of vellum and decoupaged. This was one of those cards that just came together and I really liked the colour scheme although I hadn't planned it all in the beginning. Funny how that happens sometime.

Well, I'd better go and crack on with those Christmas cards, they are not going to make themselves!!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have had a good Monday. We started the week with a Funeral which I wasn't looking forward too but it was actually a very nice service and lovely to catch up with family we don't see very often.

HI Lisa, think everyone is so busy, particularly at this time of the year! Hope your Christmas preparations are well underway, think I have got al my Christmas presents now, cards are written! Love your card, I am trying to make 'flatter' cards to make them cheaper to send! Hope you are well. Jill x

Lovely to have you back in blogland and hope you're ok!!
This card is absolutely gorgeous...I just love the soft colour tones and the design!! Beautiful work, as always!

Sorry for my lack of visits over the last few weeks...I've not been too well and there just never seems enough time or energy in the day to do all that I have to do but take care my lovely friend...

This is gorgeous, Lisa! I love that colour scheme and the stamps are beautiful. You are right in you guess about work - it is panto week (Oh yes it is!) so I will be late at school for the next three nights with Cinderella! I have made about 15 Christmas cards so far, but will probably do a batch of CAS ones over the week, as time is catching up with me!

Lisa, yours was the first blog I'd visited tonight and I just left quite a long comment but something went wrong when I tried to sign in to publish it so I'm not sure if it worked. I'll pop back tomorrow to see if it has appeared, lol!

I'm so glad to decided to share this gorgeous card rather than not doing so because you missed the challenge. I agree - the colour scheme is lovely and the design/layout is terrific.
Oh and yes - I am a big Strictly fan.

Beautiful card, Lisa.
Sorry about the funeral but isn't it funny how good emerges from a bad situation and you ended up valuing the time with your family that the funeral brought together.
I enjoyed such a lovely time with my German family wing.... not long now until we see them again so I don't feel low as I usually do when I leave them.
Love Jo x

Hi Lisa - missed this little beauty - sorry! It really is gorgeous and the colours work perfectly together - sometimes it's those "unplanned" crafting things which are the ones we like the most! Love it!
